The prototype pictures from the vehicle above are on our website. Every kit we've sold has been to customers familiar with those images, which are detailed and high-resolution. The rounded edges have been shown on YouTube videos and specifically mentioned in recent articles released by some major news outlets. We've also sent out the images to some customers by email.

Thank you for the suggestion, however. We will update some of the descriptions on the website for those who may have missed some of the circulating articles, videos and images.

Might be worth using photos, when you can, over renders. Just an idea.

Also images like this one from the site make it appear as if the corners are straight line cuts instead of rounded. I don't think it's a big deal, but I can see how if you went with gloss black or another solid color that the show through at the corners could be a minor annoyance.

Like I said previously, you probably have a higher chance of losing all 4 of your wheel covers to theft than 29 individual pieces all over your truck’s body. Nobody who doesn’t already own a Cybertruck would know they could just peel them off.

if you live in a safe place where you can trust people, and there’s not a lot of CT hate going around, then these are for you. If you live in a big city and get hostility from people all the time, then probably not!

They only need to take a couple panels to make the unit look awful

I guess as someone who’s already purchased, I’m a little disappointed to see this. I did not see this post before and was going off of the prototypes as well as the schematics that show pointed edges.

Even though I saw some discussion on rounded edges I thought we were talking about the edges of the actual magnet (not the entire piece/stencil) being slightly rounded instead of chamfered.

I’m not happy, I understand the explanation and I can cope with it all except for that trailing edge of the sail. That’s just too much blank space. I think you need to ship a separate magnet that covers that and meets up with the rear edge of the current design. That can’t be too much cost to you and if it blows off (which is unlikely) at least it gives us the ability to cover that unsightly omission/bare spot.

*In fact, if you cut it to the original design with the sharp edges couldn’t you just ship the pieces that you stamp out separately? They could just be stuck on to finish out those edges across the board? Might not be enough magnetic force to hold on in all cases, I suppose. Also might look bad but have you tried it?

Either way, no doubt in my mind that for the sail, you need to give us that piece please. Something similar for the front leading edge by the frunk as well.

From a physics standpoint, unless you are driving 80+mph in reverse(which I don’t think is possible), I don’t see how having that piece finished into a point makes any difference whether it blows off or not.

I have forwarded your concerns to our engineers (we actually have three engineers on our team) to see if they have any suggestions. The rounded edges were a huge topic of debate between the engineers and I for a couple of weeks, and I eventually deferred to them on the final design. There was also a concern that the rear, triangular "sail" piece for the Cybertruck is such a large sheet that precise placement with the sharp corners would prove to be quite difficult without some part of the sheet sticking out along the rear points. The rounded edges provide room for error and indeed reduce the likelihood of blowoff.

The kits are shipped as a continuous roll with each individual panel pre-scored for easy removal from the roll. There will be plenty of extra material for you to cut out any additional corner pieces with a pair of sturdy scissors to fill in any gaps you don't like without affecting the integrity of the main panels.

Gloss white will be eventually be added to the selection. We still have another week to go for corrosion tests to be completed with our latest batch of pre-treatment candidates.
