1) What is the additional weight of the magnetic panels and the effect on range?
2) Are there any issues with corrosion between the magnetic panels and the stainless body?
1) Weight of magnetic kit is approximately 120 lbs; less than a small person, so no impact on range.

2) Research has shown that covering the stainless steel on the Cybertruck with any vinyl or PPF product over time can result in discoloration and corrosion. Our removable magnetic panel kits are the safest way to change the color of your truck because of the ability to quickly remove them, wash your stainless steel, and reapply the panels.

We are most likely going to recommend a double coat of ProtectaClear or Everbrite prior to applying the magnets for wet or harsh weather conditions. We are completing corrosion protection tests with these products this coming week. The hope is that a double application of those coatings should allow prolonged use of the magnetic covers. In the southwest like Southern California and Las Vegas, it’s not really an issue.
