Yep. I left my tailgate open, walked off with my phone (so the truck locked), then came back a few minutes later and closed the tailgate without my phone with me. The cyberhorn went off repeatedly and creepy Dracula-type music blared from the inside so loud the truck shook. It’ll definitely scare someone off.

Well thats interesting, should only require a very loud robotic voice that states "Recording In Progress" when someone gets super close in proximity.. I think that would ward off most morons

I hope there is no speaker damage playing at max volume? Does it just play the current media or something specific?

It plays creepy scary music. Definitely not current media. And not sure about speaker damage but yeah, but I’d say turn off the car alarm ASAP because it sounds stressful to the system.

Try it with the tonneau closed, tailgate down, truck locked, then close the tailgate without your phone nearby. Probably won’t trigger the alarm if the tonneau is open.

Another way to trigger the alarm is open the driver’s door, roll the window down, hit the lock icon on the screen, then close the door. This will prevent the window from rolling up when you walk away. Then come back without your phone and open the door from the inside (reach inside and hit your door release button). I’d recommend NOT doing that in a closed garage. It gets loud.
