Alejandro is a good one.
If someone asked me think of another Hispanic name with 7 or 8 letters that starts with A and ends with O
I would have never thought of Alejandro
Amado
Arturo
Alfonso
Alfredo
I just asked chat gpt and it gave me almost the same list with the addition of Anastio and Alejandro
Really surprised he didn’t ask you to give him the $1000 difference on ā€œoverpaymentā€ in cash. 100% this is a scam.

this was obviously never a deal. No one would pay anywhere near that much for a CT today. No used CT is worth over $60k. Someone might pay $65 if they don't know what they're doing. You can by a new zero-miles CT today for $73k after tax credit. Subtract 20% after rolling off the lot. Plus Elon is telegraphing further price cuts.

I knew that ridiculously high price was too good to be true. Too many red flags, you were lucky.

Do you want a realistic wholesale offer? Drive your CT down to a local CarMax or Carvana.

Yes it’s certainly worth more than $73k. $109k however was definitely a bit too good to be true. In this market I think you are more likely to sell it privately in the 90 to 95k range given what’s for sale around. But CarMax or Carvana might indeed offer you no more that mid 70s for it.

Accessories add zero value to a truck on resale or trade. Car Max et al won’t give you a penny for those items. When I sell vehicles I take off all accessories and sell them on eBay.

No one pays for FSD on either resale or trade. I bought FSD on three teslas that I have since sold or traded. FSD wasn’t even a consideration. Lifetime connectivity is also not a consideration and isn’t worth $8k, was never a separate charge or option.

A dose of cold hard reality: You have an old used Cybertruck in relation to today’s current production. As with all first-production vehicles, Tesla was still figuring out how to make these things, get stuff aligned, etc. You probably have the original motors that are now being replaced. Tesla has upgraded the mortors and drive by wire steering mechanism. It has improved the steel glue and is going to have to repair/replace parts on all of our trucks, likely extending to way more than the current cantrails issue.

Your truck, if you took it to Car Max today, would bring $60k, $65k tops. If it even gets an offer. This is cold, hard reality and we’re all facing it. This is why auto financing is for losers - all moveable assets depreciate with some exceedingly rare exceptions. How much of a loss is subject to market vagaries and quality factors that we cannot predict at purchase time. The CT is uniquely in a bad place with this calculus. Demand isn’t there, quality issues abound, new versions are far cheaper, and there are thousands sitting on lots looking for buyers. It is what it is.

I sold my $146k P85D for $29k to a private buyer. It was two years old. If you need to sell, don’t try to catch a falling knife. These trucks WILL be selling used for $30k or even less within two years from now. The exact same thing occurred with Model X and S versions that had sold for far more than any CT. Whatever you can get today, it WILL be less in a month and FAR less in 12 months. Again, cold hard reality. The value confirmation recommendations you see are real - you can have legitimate purchase offers on kbb.com or carmax.com in five minutes to verify what I say above.

LMAO haha. Are you even an owner the crap you say about a truck you supposably own. And you want to depreciate its value by more than 50% after only 4500 miles. It sounds like you're a hater not a realist. And wtf is "cantrails issue" all that talking and you said nothing.

If you don’t know about the cantrails issue YOU don’t own a Tesla. Dude your truck was just recalled for parts falling off.

I've been keeping an eye on Autotrader and used cyberbeast foundation series with under 5k miles are listed for $89-91k...that's prior to any negotiations. Some great points mentioned that these numbers may significantly drop by the summertime (and beyond).

Also, it's not just the cybertruck, same applies to the GMC Hummer EV. Granted I haven't seen any recall issues but used ones have dropped significantly in value as well.

Just sayin. Three weeks ago I picked up my brand new zero miles 2025 Cybertruck and paid $72,500. Anyone who pays a penny more is a fool. The minute I drove it out of the Delray Beach Tesla center it was worth about 20% less as a used vehicle. That’s UNDER $60k. Folks can live with fantasies and ask whatever they want, especially on eBay, auto trader, or wherever, but no one is paying $90k at this time for a CT. The world has turned folks. Cold hard reality has set in. Facts and numbers can be cruel things. It doesn’t matter what we paid or what we hope. A market is a market and right now there are thousands of unclaimed and unwanted CTs sitting at Tesla sales centers with zero miles. It is one of the strangest phenomena in automotive and retail product history, with a mix of politics, unmet consumer expectations, industrial cost pressures, economic supply and demand. I’ve paid six figures for a Tesla twice and each time sold them within four years for under $30k. Yes, these puppies, and all EVs, are like cell phones, losing value faster than any vehicles on the road. I understood this going in, so write them off entirely as a life thrill every time I purchase another. But folks who take loans or depend on high resale value are in a world of hurt.
