Cybertruck Speaker upgrade from Light Harmonic

Has anyone bought or considered buying the Light Harmonic Cybertruck speaker kit?

I've tried to do some digging is this community about the brand Light Harmonic. They offer a speaker upgrade kit that's a direct factory plug and play. The magnets look significantly bigger. in my experience of being into car audio from my teenage to mid 20's days a bigger magnet often meant better sound overall. This is especially with mid and lows. while I admit the Cybertruck has a decent factory sound system I do feel it has potential for an upgrade.

In 2023 I bought a Tesla model y performance and the sound system was good. I reached out to Orella Acoustics and bought their kit and the difference wasn't massive but the highs were more clean and crisp. the lows in Bothe the door and the truck were more punchy and better response to the music I listen too.

Audio is very subjective but I listen to mainly hiphop/rnb/rap and the sound difference from buying the speaker kit was a very noticeable improvement.

Ok im ranting off it seems but now back to the original topic. I found a few post up here and one the OP had bought the kit, showed it was delivered and then when ghost. I don't know if the kit was ever installed how was the experience and was it work the cost.


Please let me know below if you have installed this kit and your experience? If I get no response I will be doing the install myself and I will give an unbiased reviewto the community.

Tempted although not much info as far as install but luckily Tesla has service bulletins out to assist but I looked and it’s a lot of clips for sure!!!

Definitely need to invest in quality tools of those clips if you don't have them already. They are already easy enough to break without the right geometry.

I have to say, I LOVE the Cybertruck stereo system. It is the absolute best I've owned (I've done Bose in Ford, Burmester in S63, Mark Levinson Lexus, and bookshelf speakers in my 69' Ford Falcon that would make the headlights dim when it was turned up too loud) and the CT is the best. The external speaker, that mono-thing hidden under the truck bed is worthless. But the intertal speakers are perfect. Let us know if you see a difference!

I listen to techno, jazz, pop, meditation/ spa, yacht rock, metal, classical and...the silence of my fridge doing FSD on a long highway drive.

I just placed the order literally today I need to read the service manual and make sure I don’t screw up anything disassembling. There really isn’t any videos out there showing the install but I’m sure I can knock it out.

I will probably do in sections and not try to knock it out in one day. I think the subwoofer will be first as they look like the simplest thing to do.

Being able to capture a spectrum analyzer graph of the before and after would be a great way to prove the gains (hopefully) in speaker's coverage across the audio range. It won't of course be able to detect quality, clarity, or distortion. You can get spectrum analyzer apps for iphone/Android for free in their app store. Just a suggestion.

Thank you for that suggestion I didn’t know this could be done via an iPhone app. Do you have any app recommendations?

I was wondering ting to do something similiar and get an oscope but it’s sunk cost I really wouldn’t need.
