The audiophile trait seems to be one of those "you either get it 100% or don't at all" type of deals. Kind of like how I don't understand someone being tone deaf lol

I agree . The sound system in this truck is the best . I wouldn’t consider at this stage replacing it . I haven’t heard any rear bass rattles yet . But I have noticed some rattles when you have loose objects in the door side panels … easy fix .. lol .

Ok, I'm full in on the wacky world of high end audio. While $1700 for replacement speakers may sound like a lot, it's a drop in the bucket for serious audiophiles. Plus I seriously doubt these speakers would improve the sound as they may not complement the existing crossover system or amplifiers. It's a complex tuning process if done right.

The truth is in the marketing:

"100% PLUG & PLAY INSTALLATION: Simply unbolt, unplug, and remove your factory speakers and plug ours in.

We design the speakers with the same unique racket"

I'm sure these are ok speakers. I'm also sure they didn't even take measurements before and after, or do ANYTHING to tune the sound. The truck already has a DSP profile tuned by Tesla. These guys would literally only alter that tune by replacing with different speakers. Unless they have an active dsp component on each speaker.

I AM an audiophile, but not an audiophool.

I’m a musician. I’ve played in loud live Rock, R&B and Pop bands for over 50 years. I want my music to sound like it sounds live on-stage, or like it does played back in a pro recording studio.

I’m completely satisfied with the carefully engineered sound system in my truck and won’t be doing anything to change it.

Of course, your mileage (and audiophoolishness) may vary.

If they just sell the subs I might pull the trigger on those.

The biggest improvement if buying these would be adding sound deading material in all the speaker orifices.

Sounds like Tesla can’t fix this problem . Hopefully they come up with a solution . It is annoying for sure .
