FYI, after seeing this post by a user (amazingly, removed like 60 minutes after he created it) "BallzzDeep", it looked suspicious. Took "his" image of his defective bumper on his CT that he posted and reverse google imaged it, and found a FB post that he stole it from . . . His post was so BS it was obviously a Elon hater trying to stir up discontent for Tesla. Funny after a few of us started calling him out, he deleted the post and removed his profile. Makes you understand how much fake crap is out there. Don't believe the haters. I've had my CT a couple of weeks and absolutely love it. Had my model Y for a couple years, love it too. If you don't like a vehicle don't buy it. If you don't like a company, don't support it. But quit trying to convince me to hate it too. I have my own opinions and I don't need to join your group or win your approval.

I'm actually surprised that this forum hasn't been brigaded by the anti-everything people. There are accounts that are journalists (ie WSJ) that have been checking in here looking for anecdotes for stories. They keep a low profile.

This truck is either a love it or hate it kinda situation with no real in-between. I don't think anyone joining or posting fake posts would be able to change that opinion either way. I bought my truck for one person alone and he's the only one who has to like it. (Its a bonus that my family likes it too). If his username was ballzdeep then he was probably referring to his level of debt and the jealousy was too much to handle.

This is a good reminder! It can be tough. Just today my own Mother was talking about a CT "wrapping itself around a tree, killing kids inside," in the context of discussing how dangerous FSD is...
I realize I don't have to explain it here, but it's very discouraging to hear apple to orange comparison all in an attempt to disparage Tesla via mass media--"legacy" media as Elon calls it :ROFLMAO:

Yeah, I only re-posted this as I should have been screenshotting all the crap he was spewing and wanted people to be aware that it was complete bulls**t . . . There are plenty of real life issues that might not have been handled correctly by Tesla, or any other company for that matter. The key is going online and yelling at the sky doesn't fix crap. And rallying the troops to pat you on the back and agree is just the sign of a weak human who didn't get breastfed and has mommy issues. :ROFLMAO:

Agreed, while everyone does not align completely pro or con it is a lot less messy than some of the reddit/x/facebook groups that are VERY one way or another and let you know about it.

After almost 13 months with almost 13000 miles on it, I still love my CT, regardless what someone else says. Even with a few selling theirs, out of 30000+ owners, it's a natural thing, not a big deal, esp. some are likely fake news/posts.

If I can give you a spark of hope:

All of this hate and discontent is coming from people who have the idea already implanted in their head that EVs are an existential threat to their precious fart-boxes.

They can smell the market shift, and they don't like change. In other words... EVs are winning.

To some, yes. But I’m not a tree hugging environmentalist either. I just love the technology, respect Elon and his businesses, as well as fitting the mold where an EV makes sense. Also just thought the CT was way cool. It’s also nice “filling up” at home. ?

I don’t like the Hyundai Santa Cruz “truck.” I think it’s ugly and horribly impractical. I’ve never felt the need to tell anyone that. Well, until now of course, but I’m just making a point. If it’s not your thing, buy something else. Elon won’t lose any sleep over it.

Not a tree hugger either, and I can also demonstrate that "carbon footprint" is a total scam. But yeah, the tech and the physics are doing to win the economics game.

10's of thousands less overall parts, and FAR fewer moving parts that need to be lubricated. It's just basic first principles.
