It’s not intuitive to use. I have a hard time getting it to go to a different setting than 50 psi. I expected it to work like most other air compressors where you set the pressure and it’ll figure out what to do.
I've only used it once and I haven't used it on car tires yet. What I saw was that you're right it is different from what I expected. It's very fast and powerful, but it does this thing where it's adamant about hitting the exact pressure that you set but it's also too aggressive at inflation so in my case, it constantly overshot then deflated then overshot again then deflated and this would've gone on it seemed like forever if I would've allowed it too. I was aiming for 30 psi in the tires that I was inflating, which happened to be on my Segway. AND if you stop it while it's going through this process, it then gives you an error, but there's really nothing wrong other than you not letting it dick around forever trying to hit 30.0000 PSI. At least that was my experience, thus far.
Did you ever get yours? I ordered April 7, finally arrived May 23. Never received any kind of update, I just waited patiently and it eventually showed up.
You have much more patience than I do! I ordered mine in March and canceled it two weeks ago out of frustration. I then ordered two of the USB power chargers/backups and have been "impatiently" waiting for them for 3-4 weeks now. Same thing, no updates, just says "ordered". Hope you like your compressor and that it is worth it.
