Very dangerous critical routing failure, full FSD on chill, turned into oncoming traffic on highway 101 near Sequim WA

Traveling from Sequim downtown to 223 McDonnell Creek Road, Sequim 98382. 04/08/2025 3:00 PM

Tesla miss-interpreted a highway crossing, when the access was blocked by the median, tesla turned left into oncoming traffic. Only my quick response avoided a head-on collision. When the map data is in error, the Tesla should fail by stopping not crashing.

And this is why we don’t defeat the safety or by placing weights on the wheels

FSD = Full Supervised Driving

Few times FSD wanted to take wrong roads close to each other, divided drives etc and I’ve had to intervene to prevent turning into an Exit drive vs the road next to it.
Be vigilant when using FSD,

No doubt or speculation here. During my April 3+ week road trip out and back to Phoenix, I intervened during 3 similar FSD events. Part of being an early adopter and FSD copilot and the last thing I thought about was memorializing an event on video. I wouldn't have been able to make the trip without FSD and particularly benefited while in big city (Houston, Dallas, Austin, Phoenix) driving. I was lost all the time, the truck only once or twice.
