Okay I just tested it out with the S and the Cyber truck. Can confirm no strike for exceeding the 85. Used to give it.

They must have changed that. My other half would always come home with a strike. Explanation. Someone was on my ass. I had to leave them. ?
It never did in my experience since 2021. I've been posting video tests for years and then challenging others to do the same.

It's more likely she received a strike for something else.

Not quite, being locked out for the drive cycle IS a strike. 5 strikes and you are out for a week.
I've had my Beast for 3 wonderful weeks, and I have 4 strikeouts. Probably because I have poor vision and cannot read the small text on the screen. Thank goodness, the loss of FSD is only a week after getting 5 strikes, if I understand you correctly . ???

4 strikes suggest that you are staring at the screen for too long and you aren't seeing the obvious clues that you are indeed looking too long.
Get someone else to either watch you are drive the vehicle while you are the passenger.

A section of the screen starts to slowly flash blue to let you know to look back at the road. I believe there's also a pop-up that tells you to do the same thing. And to get a strike, you have to ignore the warning indicators MANY times.

So instead of staring at the screen, glance at it. If you are trying to read anything, you are probably looking too long. If you have to read it, pull over.
Don't forget that voice works great for navigation as well, just say "Navigate to" your destination and then the turns are shown and announced.
If for some reason you aren't hearing the announcements any more, you may have inadvertently turned the volume down. While stopped, route somewhere and on the settings for the route, you can see the option to change the volume. (You can also change it when it is talking, and this is how a lot of people accidentally turn it down too low).

Instead of knowing how the strikes work, it would be much better if you learned how to not create them.

But they drop off, one per week. And if you hit 5, the penalty cage is a week. Look at the FSD settings and the number of strikes are shown there.

One time (first time) on v13 it didn't react to me paying attention, so I canceled FSD before reaching the strike time. Acted normally the rest of the time.

Does FSD v13 still squawk at 85?

The buzzer going off isn't a strike. It takes a lot of buzzers to make a strike.

Interesting to know, thanks!
Having never gotten a strike nor lack if attention disengagement, I wasn't about to find out.

Strikes are not really a big deal. Aside from having to stop and put the vehicle in park to reset it, strikes will roll off after a week.

The FSD limit is 85 MPH because if my calculations are correct when this baby hits 88 MPH your going to some serious sh*t!

I absolutely LOVE the FSD...!!! The first 2 weeks driving my Beast was a serious learning experience. I received 4 strikeouts, and found out how to pay attention, as the strikeouts then disappeared, one a week. My friend showed me that I was able to hold my phone straight ahead, quickly tap on it, and not get a strikeout. My other vehicles sit unused in my driveway, because I am hooked on FSD...!!! I really am Addicted..!! It's not perfect, but it sure is great for driving, especially at night, for this old man...

So apparently if you use the accelerator while on FSD it can disengage at a certain speed and then not allow you to use it again until you stop and put it in park.

Anyone know what speed that is?

85 MPH, for sure, and FSD won't re-engage until you stop Park, and start again.......

My two cents -
Exceeding the speed that FSD is set at gives a blue-warning on the screen. This happens all the time, since FSD typically drives 5 mph lower than I have it set. If this warning is not reacted to quickly, like maybe 5 seconds, it turns into a red-warning (strike). I typically get 5 blue strikes each drive, and have a lot of red ones. Red ones are also related to the tiny font on the screen, which I can not read, and the short time given to read the screen, like 2 seconds. I like to drive +5 to the speed limit, and the current settings and vehicle characteristics don't allow this to my satisfaction.

If you lose FSD on a drive, you also lose the ability to use cruise control. On long drives, this requires stopping and restarting to gain functionality. Pulling over on the freeway to regain cruise control is annoying.

If you have a second profile for yourself, you can switch profiles on-the-fly as you drive, and gain cruise control functionality. If you go this route, make sure all the other settings are good, such as music. In my case I have to log-out and log-in to my music accounts, which is a pain.
