Like many of your products, looks super cool.
Im 90% sure I know the answer is no but….is it narrow enough (or short enough) it would fit just over the glass area thereby allowing cybertent use or does it require the full length rack?

It’s 65”L x 52”W, so it won’t quite fit in front of the CyberTent ?

Does the SkyLounge require your (out of stock) Bed Rack Kit as well? I assume so based on your installation video?
Yes, the SkyLounge needs a rack system to mount, especially on the Cybertruck. Since the roof is sloped, it can’t support a rooftop tent directly. That’s why our rack setup creates a flat, level platform across the bed and roof, which is essential for proper installation and comfort without losing any bed space. Our new rack will be released later in May and we’ll share more details soon.

Haha love this - sounds like a party up there! The tent holds about 900 lbs, and the ladder’s good for 330, but the bed rack tops out around 800 lbs static. The tent weighs 140 lbs, and if you’re planning to add a 270 awning on the other side, that adds a bit more. So two of you would be close to the limit, but should be fine. Three? Might need to take turns or flip a coin. ?
Appreciate the kind words - glad you’re liking the setup!

Our current queen-size tent sits between the iKamper Skycamp DLX and the Skycamp DLX Mini in size. While we don’t have plans for a king-size version yet, it’s spacious enough for two adults. Plus, you can still see out of the Cybertruck’s roof glass from the back seat.

Feature-wise, it lands somewhere between the base Skycamp and the DLX. The DLX adds built-in light strips and a 4” inflatable mattress. We’ve already got lighting built in, and if you pair this setup with the REI Exped Megamat Duo, you’re basically at DLX-level comfort: https://www.rei.com/product/238244/exped-megamat-duo-sleeping-pad

A much smarter design would have it recessed into the roofline of your rack instead of sticking up into the wind.

We considered that, but didn’t want to lose the bed space under the rack. For folks doing short trips without much gear, hauling a tent daily might make more sense with the CyberTent.

This setup is aimed more at long weekend adventures, where having extra storage under the rack makes a big difference - some Cybertruck owners mount spare tires, water heaters, or other essential gear under the rack.

On the road, the impact on charging isn’t a big deal - with plenty of Superchargers around, just a few extra minutes per stop. When off-grid doing off-road, speeds are usually under 45mph, so the difference in efficiency compared to no rack or tent isn’t that noticeable.

When the tent is not in use, it can be stored easily - even hung from the ceiling to reduce daily commute range efficiency.

Hope this helps!

Just wanted to share some ceiling lifter options for storing your bed rack and rooftop tent when you’re not using them.

One of Cybertruck Owner is using the SmarterHome Universal XL HD Lifter - it handles his Intrepid RTT (155 lbs) really well.
https://www.smarterhome.com/products/universal-xl-hd-lifter
IMG_0450.webp

Since our bed rack is easy to remove and reinstall with just eight 10mm bolts (and we’re working on a stud conversion that will make it even easier to line up and reinstall the rack), another Cybertruck owner is using the Auxx Lift for his iKamper 3.0 and our Bed Rack together.
IMG_0451.jpeg

https://auxx-lift.com/pages/auxx-lift
One cool thing about the Auxx Lift is that it offers 32 square feet of additional storage space on top of the platform, while the rooftop tent and bed rack sit underneath. It’s built to handle up to 600 lbs, making it a really efficient way to maximize garage space.

Hope this helps if you’re looking for a storage solution!

10” is not the exactly the definition of slim
Our fold-out tent is 9.8 inches tall at its highest point in the center, which is lower than most side-opening fold-out models like iKamper or Roofnest that range from 13.5 to 15 inches. The edges are around 7 inches, so it looks even slimmer from the side. We haven’t seen any other rooftop tent with a mattress over 60 inches wide that stays this low.

If you prefer wedge-style tents, we’ve got a 110-inch-long version coming in July that’s just 3.1 inches tall. It won’t be as wide as a queen (60 inches) due to the Cybertruck’s roof width.
