After updating to 2025.14.7, my CT can't shift into Drive or Reverse unless I do a soft reboot. This also affecting the toneau cover open/close buttons and tailgate button along with some of the pillar buttons to open the rear passenger doors. It works for a little while after doing the soft reboot. This is very concerning. Has anyone else experienced this issue after the update?

Aren't you able to reinstall the current firmware/software from the service menu? I've not tried this for any issue, but I believe I've heard others give it a go as a DIY. Worst case you have a stainless steel brick. Just Kidding...

Why can't your shift into fwd or reverse? Getting an error message?

That’s what’s weird. 0 error messages. Buttons overhead didn’t work either. I’m going to try reinstalling the software and report back.

Try powering off the truck, wait 2 minutes and press the brake. That procedure fixed my WiFi not wanting to connect even after the usual hold steering wheel buttons reset.

I’ve used the app only. I even deleted my profile and re-added. The only other thing I can think of, is that I just had my windshield replaced last week and if there’s an issue with water coming in, that may affect the systems as well. I had another issue where there was moisture in the communications portion of the CT and it turned out to be a bad seal from the factory. We’ve been getting a lot of rain over here so it might be related, but I’m not sure. It may be best for me to schedule some service again.

It sounds like a generalized authentication issue (impacting many zones). Could be vehicle module or possibly the phone. Would be interesting if the key card works (though that is NFC and only two zones vs Bluetooth or UWB and all over).

It’s definitely not a phone issue. I’ve tried multiple phones. The app works to open the doors and the cover just fine no issues there. It’s making more and more sense to me that this could be result of the replacement windshield and another bad seal. It’s been raining like crazy over here for several days. The same phenomenon was happening when I had the other issue with a leaky . Apparently, the seal was incorrectly set. After some back-and-forth with Service, it was determined that it was a seal once they fix that I had no issues. But then my windshield ended up being cracked, and now I have this issue..

Could definitely be a control module then.
Direct App control is wi-fi or cellular not Bluetooth.

Yeah. The last time it totally disabled Bluetooth and WFI. The seal was fixed and module replaced.

I wonder if this aren't staying powered in sleep mode. That would account for it working after a reboot.
