UPDATE! The customer just installed the three-tone PPF wrap with stripe, and it looks incredible! I’m not sure if anyone has attempted this before. Another unique feature is that we covered the joint on the cant rail on the back where it meets the quarter panel. Since the stripe was already overlayed over the PPF joint, it worked out perfectly. The customer is thrilled, and the colors perfectly matched his Mac-n-cheese diner chain brand.
We designed the entire project in Adobe Illustrator and then transferred the cut patterns into the plotter/cutting machine. To ensure a seamless application of the door piece, we taped the seams together with transfer tape. This allowed him to apply the door piece as one piece and then remove the tape before applying the orange stripe over the seam.
Have an idea for a custom wrap like this, or need help with designing a custom printed design, let us know!
