Stop the bus! This is a reimbursement for monies overpaid by me/us! NOT a 12 month promo to be spent or lose. This is my/our hard earned money that was intended to be a refund for overspent monies. Not for profit. These monies should NOT expire when, with all due respect Mr Musk, you say they expire. I/we never agreed to this expiration policy! NO EXPIRATION DATE FOR VEHICLE (CYBERTRUCK) PURCHASERS! (In their wallets)

So this is your range extender refund? I didn’t opt for that, so I’m not sure of how they worked refunds out. But apparently they gave you shop credits instead of an actual refund?

Yes, my range extender refund. The only EVER complaint I have is the expiration of said refund. I'd be fine with supercharger credits but not with simply losing my money. Especially considering paying top dollar even though I'm very happy with the best vehicle ever made.

Am I completely wrong on this? No one else is bothered by expiring credit? I still feel lucky to have gotten one, but do the CT buyers HAVE to part with their credits? And HaulingAss, before you tell me it's just good business, please be reminded that most of us made this investment in (non-expiring) good faith on a first gen vehicle.

I'll get off my soap box now... Ty

Nah, it’s a bit unfair that they hold your money for however long it was then only sort of refund it and put a timer on it. Maybe some people don’t want anything else Tesla makes, they just wanted the range extender.

That being said, Tesla does make good stuff so you should be able to find something to use the credits for, but that sounds like a pretty raw deal for some folks.

Did you have the choice of credit or refund? I would have taken the refund and you should do that also. Also, what are you waiting for to become available and the credit might expire?

I noticed that my credits expire in December. Love the CT. Kinda cranky about the credits. But hey, maybe everybody gets levitating Cybertrucks for Christmas. Ha.

I received my refund back to my card originally used. Those of you that got credits, how?
I was not offered a refund, credit only. This forum is how I learned that I even had $2500 in credits(by telling me how to find out) that I've been using only on superchargers so far.
When I picked up my vehicle my thought was, learn everything on the fly, more fun that way. Tesla will alert me in this case WHEN I would receive my range extender(or expiring credits).

wow yeah that sucks. It's just scammy, Tesla engineering seems very disconnected from these other business units. You went out on a limb and gave them money up front for a product (that IMO was never going to ship, just a PR thing to cover how bad the range is vs. what they claimed it would be), then they not only didn't tell you or refund you, but turned your money into funny money store credits and set them to expire? JFC just give people their money back, it's not like Tesla is low on cash.

My earnest money towards my fs Beast was earmarked for the extra battery. It was not used for such and NOT refunded.
I don’t understand. The down payment I gave Tesla for the Range Extender was refunded to my credit card. Not yours?

? Amen Brother! Actually, without even realizing it, I was mostly just venting about this whole expiring credit thing. I'm looking at it as, "small price to pay" for the world's best vehicle. Elon, if the firm needs it, you can have it!
