Pretty cool but, why?
i think of myself as captain preparedness and that idea has never crossed my mind.
Guess I’ll know when I’m stuck in the rain with a shitty wiper one day.
Then I can be like, “I should have listened to @Quixer01 ”, dang it.

It’s not like you can pull into AutoZone and have them change it.
No sense in leaving the new blade at home. If it’s going to break or need replaced, more than likely it will be on the road.
It’s not like we actually use the rear window to see out of!

Isn’t this what the frunk is for?

But rainx applied once a month has been great. 90% of the time don’t even need the wiper. - even with fsd.

I was just kidding. Sensible place to store things. I have several items up there just not a wiper.

12k miles and one year in, no issues so far. I apply rainx liberally and wipe off till no haze is left. No issues with chatter at all.

Will that even fit in the frunk with the box? Also if you don’t have a storage bin under rear seat, that might work too.

no thanks to the rainX manual says not to!

Here they are talking about the addittive that you add to your washer tank existing fluid. But if you buy the rainX brand bug and tar fluid along with or just direct glass application, you’re good to go. Sprayaway glass cleaner also has some repelling properties not as good as rainX however.

Is this a serious thread? I've been driving and taking road trips for over 45 years and I have never changed a wiper blade on a road trip. That's something you do before you leave if the wiper is getting near the end of life.

Living in the rainy PNW, wipers are important and get a lot of use. But even a less than perfect one is going to get you home. I don't pack spare brake pads for the same reason, I keep them in serviceable condition so they will get me home just fine.

Let's keep it real, no one changes their wiper on the side of the road on a dark rainy night.

I don't carry a wiper blade in the truck, but I do keep one at home in case I need a replacement and they are out of stock.

Just received my Tesla wiper blade via UPS today. It fits perfectly behind the rear headrests. Who else carries an extra wiper? Where do you stow it?

The wiper should be in another box inside that brown box. I keep my extra blade in the frunk
