There is no guarantee that you'll have to do paint repair every year, but there is a guarantee that in the long run, you'll surpass the cost of a good paint job if you want to have your truck covered for the life of it.
So in your hypothetical this painted Cybertruck is a garage queen with perfect paint and the wrapped one is put through the winter ringer every year? Your logic is flawed. Prove me wrong.

I live in Canada, drive through the Rockie Mountains monthly, and do road trips often. That paint will look like that water bottle after one winter I bet
If I lived in Death Valley, I'm sure it wouldn't be good for anything painted.

I never implied that. You said the wrap comes with an 8 year warranty. You'd have to really take care of it to make it last that long. My question was an exaggerated hypothetical one. I don't seriously think you'll keep it garaged 100% of the time.

I treat my wraps like shit and they have lasted over 6 years at this point. I think you’re misinformed.

Exactly. How many of you have garage queens?
Are you kidding? That would be a waste of a truck this nice! It would also take up space that could be used for less durable painted cars, trucks and motorcycles. Plus, in our case, we only have a one-car garage and it has 3 street bikes and one dual sport inside (and a motorcycle lift). We also have a one car carport, but that gets reserved for painted cars that could benefit more from protection from sun, rain, wind driven debris and snow and ice. Painted vehicles get the garage/carport space because thin, painted body panels are subject to sun and hail damage, not to mention rusting wherever the coating is breached.

The Cybertruck, on the other hand, is covered in gleaming pieces of steel and glass. It can be easily polished back to better than new over multiple generations of owners. It's a truck, and it doesn't need no stinkin' garage!

Put your hypotheses to the test dude. Report back once you have some data and facts.
Lol, that's your way way of saying, "I got nothing so I'm going to tell him to do the improbable to prove a point." :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

That’s me realizing you’re misinformed and over confident in your assumptions and giving you the option to go discover for yourself that you’re wrong.

I'm pretty sure it doesn't look like the day you got it. Misinformed? I talked to the guy that does wraps for West Coast Customs, I'm pretty sure he knows a little something about the subject. Even GROK said as much.

Try that in California, Colorado or Texas! Plastic gets pretty ratty looking after 8 years of abuse, probably worse even than fragile paint! Sure, park it in the garage, and don't use it in challenging conditions, and you might make it last 15 years. That's not how most vehicles get used. They are parked in the mid-day sun and night time storms, driven on gravel roads and through slush and sand. Most vehicles take a real beating in normal service.

The Cybertruck was not designed to be a garage queen, that much is obvious!

OK bud. I've seen plenty of crap wraps out there. Even at shows I see flaws. The fading of them are horrible.
