Just came back from an unforgettable camping trip to Yellowstone. We went hoping to see grizzlies and ended up spotting even more.

We captured some great shots of black bears, including one that might be the same mama bear who hibernated near the Petrified Tree last winter. Some of the bears were brown-colored black bears, not grizzlies. The grizzly sightings, including cubs and a pair during mating season, were incredible. I’ll post more of those once I finish sorting through everything.

One of the most special moments - my daughter made me a wool-felt grizzly modeled after the legendary Grizzly 399, who sadly passed away last October. That gift made this trip even more meaningful.

Huge thanks to the @Urander for the awesome rack and rooftop tent. This setup made our Yellowstone camping experience so much better. The mattress was surprisingly comfortable. I haven’t tried adding a hybrid air topper yet, but even as is, it was perfect. My daughter slept really well too. When it got cold, I plugged in a heated blanket and ran the cable through the round heater port on the tent. Worked great!

Nice! Hoping to have the same setup for our road trip to Niagara Falls in about a month. Hopefully it gets here on time. ?

Do you have more pictures of the setup and how it looks with the tent closed?

I want a rack like months ago, but no one seems to have any in stock. I ordered from TesStudio back in February for a February March delivery, but now in a dispute to get a refund for not delivering and no communication when I asked for a refund.
Good to seem some people actually got their racks. I ordered a rack from Hanshow next but they are now being slow to ship, even though they were the ones offering the earliest option.

Ah, yes, bears in Yellowstone. Seventy years ago when I was 5, our family was traveling through Yellowstone and a number of cars were stopped and people were out hand feeding the bears. We just got out of the car and this one mama bear suddenly charged through the crowd (like the Red Sea parting) and grabbed me by the arm and started dragging me into the woods. My uncle, adrenalin pumping, chased the bear and managed to kick her hard. She stopped, stood up (me dangling from her jaws), and my uncle hit her snout with a (still vividly remembered) WHAP! The bear dropped me and took off into the woods. There was no hospital in the Park, but at a clinic they put my arm back together. I vividly remember how everyone hovered over me and gave me treats. Made the local headlines in the paper. Have scars but no loss of function. Now they advise DON'T FEED THE BEARS. So, when in Yellowstone, if you ever see a OLD bear with a CROOKED nose, you'll know the rest of the story!

Feel free to check out our patented Expedition Rack system, originally introduced in August of last year. It’s been our best-selling product to date. Best of luck with some other players—some of them copied our design, used our photos, and claimed it as their own. ?

We’re based in Fremont, California, and the rack ships directly from our Los Angeles warehouse.

Fwiw, here’s a thread featuring some of our delivered racks out in the wild, with photos shared by happy customers putting them to real use.

For those who don't know the difference,
-Black bears have longer noses, leave smaller paw prints, and their scat is compacted like horse droppings. Hikers can wear bells to keep from surprising them and pepper spray is effective.
- Grizzley bears have flatter faces, leave large paw prints, and their scat has bells in it and it smells like pepper spray.
