Visiting Reno; someone opened my charge port and put a rock and a sticker inside?

Yes, unfortunately there are devices that can remotely open Tesla charge ports. And unfortunately, some people post YouTube videos demonstrating their use.
Tesla's official Cybertruck Delivery Event occurred on November 30, 2023.

The first video documenting the remote opening of a Cybertruck charge port was posted to YouTube on December 2, 2023.

Yes, all it takes is a Flipper Zero. It sucks that it doesn't stay locked despite the command being sent. Works the same way the superchargers work, or will work, when you pull up to them.

But why? Was there any damage?
No damage fortunately! But no idea why. I’m guessing it’s someone who doesn’t like Teslas but is smart enough not to fully vandalize - just wants to mildly harass? The sticker was kind of cool so if it was just that I might have thought he liked my car but the rock seems decidedly less friendly ?

I also got 2 middle fingers and a guy yelling at us and approaching us from a bus stop down there. since buying a CT I always go out of my way to be extra nice on the road to help cultivate a positive perception of CT owners, so I know it’s not my driving haha?

I consider it them doing me a favor. Rather than me trying to figure out if they are as dumb as a box of hammers, they self identify. Knowing they are a moron straight away saves me any time spent trying to make the determination on my own.

Usually I respond by blowing them a kiss. Really seems to brighten their day ;)

Has anyone else had this happen? The guy walks up and the chargeport opens as he walks up, as if he had a remote? Weird.
He might not even had had a remote. the easiest thing to damage on any EV is the charge port door. Fortunately, The vehicle will still operate normally.

If someone is intent on damaging your vehicle, no matter the vehicle, they will be able to damage it. What I like about the Cybertruck is it is really hard to damage simple out of carelessness.

Looks like one of Reno's homeless people. Obviously mentally ill or on drugs. The only negative ( I think it was negative?) comment I have had was from a homeless person walking by. I was pulled over along side the road on the phone so I don't know what he said. I had a Ford Lightning and while parked at a Costco someone had placed a empty potato chips bag behind my windshield wiper. I saw 2 homeless men hanging around nearby. One time someone smeared a Reese's Peanut Butter cup along the top of my Lightning tailgate. Weird.

Had a rando pull up 2 hours after I got to the office and put a sticker on my side mirror that was folded in.
