If you have access to the seller ask if they received an email from Tesla; with the email one can schedule the installation. This is important in my opinion because if an email was sent out for that VIN they might not send another. The other way is to check with an SC. They will have a record if the FS CTB VIN has been authorized a lightbar or if it’s still pending. In either case as mentioned previously the lightbar follows the VIN.
The original owner who is selling it to me has made the appointment to have it installed before it transfers to me. However, tesla sent an email back saying installation is delayed due to adhesive supply. So I will end up taking over ownership before it can get installed. I just don’t want to lose it.
You are good. Get a print out of the appointment; will be interesting if it shows up on your app when it’s transferred.
I bought mine used and I got the email to schedule my lightbar install. I go in a couple weeks. It definitely follows the truck. Hopefully you don’t have any issues either.
