My insurance company covers 100% cost of window repair on my CT.
So does mine. I believe it’s a requirement in Arizona. Also think up to one claim a year on your windshield does not raise your premium by law but this is just something I’ve been told and not verified.
Glass people in Arizona are very savvy to this and offer all kids of incentives for making the claim through them. Cash in hand, restaurant vouchers etc.
The last time I replaced the windshield on my wife’s model x, it cost me nothing and they tinted the windshield for free.
I wonder if Tesla’s plan covers the lightbar.

This might make sense for one of the plaid/performance cars with low pro tires. I destroyed 3/4 of those before actually needing replacements from relatively small bumps and potholes.

CT can run over a small building before considering new tires. Unnecessary subscription.

I’d rather put $20/month into crypto
I'd rather buy beer with it! 🤪

I can't remember the last time I had to replace a tire due to damage and not simply being worn out (which this doesn't cover anyway).

That's why I never buy low profile tires!

Think I’m going to get this for my wife’s model x but not the Cybertruck.
Knowing that tesla roadside will handle the entire process for her if she has a flat while I’m at work is worth it to me.
Call me spoiled. I’ve reached a point in my life where certain luxuries that seemed unreasonable to me earlier are kind of appealing.
I agree it makes no sense whatsoever for the truck.

Costco comes with the warranty included when you buy tires there. While they won't come to you, you can always keep a tire patch kit in the car or truck and limp it there. It'll do the job and get you out of a jam.. At $20 a month, after the first year you've already paid for half a new tire. If you're very prone to flats and tire damage then maybe it makes sense.

Makes sense. Maybe AAA is a better value. I just want someone to be able to respond and help her out when I can’t which is pretty often.
She’s more than capable of doing it herself, don’t get me wrong, I just don’t want her to have to with three young kids in the car on a hot Phoenix day. Seems miserable to do that.

It’s another revenue stream for Tesla.

They have crunched the numbers. The revenue brought in will far outweigh the claims.

Not just tires, but also wheels.

For existing owners, you have to schedule an inspection at a Service Center, thru the app, so they can determine a baseline; otherwise, people would just sign up the day they get a flat or a broken wheel.

Costco offers a better warranty as a baseline.

Seems like a rip off. I think it is $15/tire at Discount Tire. No monthly recurring charge.
Does discount tire repair or replace your wheel too?

can you show me the protection package? I'm not finding it.
Sure thing.

I just pulled up my receipt since I recently purchased the plan at Discount Tire.

It used to be called a Tire Protection plan, but now they lumped it all as a "Certificate for Refund, Replacement, or Repair"

So there is two ways to get this coverage:
1) Buy your new tires through Discount Tire and purchase this certificate. I paid $22/tire which covers 3 years, plus lifetime balancing and rotation. Certificates For Refund, Replacement, Or Repair

2) Go to Discount Tire and purchase this certificate for your existing tires. As long as your tires are 3 years old or less, and not more that 3/32" of tread depth, you can purchase this. Cost varies depending on what tires you have. I know others on this forum have purchased these certificates, so maybe they can chime in.

Hope this helps,

That seems to only be for tires. Telsa is also covering wheels. unless I am missing something here?
