UPDATE:Over 6803 miles in my CB my average energy is 487 Wh/mi. It seems like a lot of you are doing a LOT better than that. I know that I have a lead foot, but I’m curious as to what other people are experiencing.
On my recent trip to Northern Nevada with my MarsAG rack and BaseCamp RTT I got an average of 538 Wh/mi (that was on the return trip about 440 miles). i’d say the average speed on this trip would be greater than 70 mph, but I can’t be exact.
You can see that my overall average has creeped up to 496 Wh/mi. It should be noted that in addition to the rack and tent, I’m also running the Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac RT which are hitting the range as well.
I also lost a fairing (just fricking blew off) in front of the driver’s rear which might’ve had some minor impact. Add in the fact that I don’t drive slow ever, hard accelerate and decelerate, and anytime I’m passing on 2 lane freeways there’s a brief burst to 2+1 digits.
Even with my exact set up, I would expect most people to do better than this.
