...or better. Yes, some higher speed sections averaged out with some traffic lights and stop signs. If I drove at no more than 35 miles per hour we'd easily be looking at sub-300 Wh/mi and an effective range of closer to 400 miles.
What tire pressure are you running?

Factory 50 psi all around
I'm curious what they read on the display after driving for 30 minutes on the highway. I've been seeing up to 6 psi variation from first thing in the morning (cold) to the middle of the afternoon on a hot day.

Ours isn’t getting good! We did over 3000 miles this month all over CA coasts to Yosemite and back, then Laguna Seca and spent $839. So that’s roughly .28 per mile. Compared to our 2020 Defender X at .50 per mile average fuel costs. Saved $700.

The only downside is the added length of time to long trips with multiple stops. Going from San Diego to Laguna Seca last weekend took 8.5 hours, at 70mph, because we had two hours of charging along the way. In the Defender, we would’ve been doing 85 the whole way and probably made it in 5.5hrs.

If you charged for 2 hours to go 435 miles @ 70 mph, you're doing it wrong.

Are you, by any chance, new to EVs?

Yeah, it shouldn't take that long at all. Not even close.

Did you leave with only a partial charge? Or were you charging over 60%? It sounds like a combination of both.

Don't get me wrong, I'll charge over 60% too, but only if I'm going to be there for a while anyway (like if I'm eating a sit-down meal). Then the time doesn't matter, because it's going to be charged before I get back anyway.

Started at 80% charged each time it told me too on the navigation to 80%

I was able ro do 273 Wh/mi.

But I was definitely hypermiling with Tesla's recommended speed of 65 to 69 mph on relatively flat freeways.

I tried again and never able to replicate it and I am now 443 Wh/mi average at 6,692 mileage.

I called it the swallow that did not a summer make.

That's just a recommendation for beginners. If you only charge to 60% your charge stops will be a whole lot shorter. And was your tonneau cover open due to those tires in the vault or were you able to tilt them on their side and close it?

Cybertruck efficiency update: still cranking.

313 Wh/mi on a 63 mile jaunt back from a robotics competition in steady, occasionally heavy, rain. Couple hundred pounds of tools, parts and equipment in the bed with three passengers. Lifetime efficiency holding steady at 333 Wh/mi.

$700 is HUGE savings! But just like gas cars, you can spend more money to get places faster. Go fast, charge more, works just fine in EVs to cut down travel time.

Right now I am road tripping in my Model Y and I do not mind going slow and flowing semi trucks to increase efficiency. Unless I am trying to get to the next hotel at a reasonable time to get enough sleep, then I speed up.

Dang, very freaking nice efficiency. Maybe I should switch to sport mode.
First 3k miles I've been on beast power (under custom)...today I switched to sport - definitely an improvement, that and slowing down a bit = boring, but I got 398 vs 450-550.so at least for long trips I'll do sport and grandma!

My lifetime for 5k miles is 477, but it's like 90% interstate and going 80. I'm ok with it.
