Launch Fest (Dallas/Fort Worth Meetup)

I want to get accurate 0-60 times for Beast/Sport/Chill modes plus Beast mode with launch control activated. I also want to properly compare Chill/Sport modes between an AWD and a Beast (and a LR, if anyone around here has one).

I have a Beast and a Dragy unit. I need at least one person with an AWD who’s up to meet at Yello Belly drag strip in Grand Prairie some upcoming Thursday night. If you don’t have a Dragy or some other kind of GPS race box, we can move mine to yours in the pits between runs.

Let me know if you’re up for this idea. This is an unsanctioned track. No safety equipment is needed, shorts are fine, entry fee is $20 cash only, and there’s 2 supercharger locations within like 5 minutes.

And, of course, the more the merrier. The more CTs we get out there and test, the more accurate our numbers will be. If you don’t want to drag your CT, come out anyway, hang out, watch some fast cars, and talk CT with us!

Forgot to mention, they have open track every Thursday starting at 7P. They usually do track prep for a bit and open for runs around 8. Super chill vibe there, never had any problems and the staff and racers are pretty receptive to my CT (although not too many of them want to line up with me. Maybe I should start out in chill mode so they don’t know how fast these are lol).

If you come, prepare to get a lot of requests for rides. I had a group of girls ride along for a run and the ones in the back started a movie on the rear screen while waiting in line for our run. Good times!

We’ll hopefully find out if sport mode to sport mode is equal. Beast mode will smoke an AWD, but that’s the premium some of us nuts paid lol

If I do this alone, any requests from anyone? Trying to get accurate times for the various modes in ideal conditions. Anything I haven’t thought of?
