I’m at work and can’t try this right now. Somebody please go try it and let me know if it’s real or BS.

Have you all seen this?
Yes. There was lots of talk and posts about this in the early days. I think the consensus of our engineering guys on the forum was that it was bad news for your air shocks/suspension.

Hang on a tick! I just watched the video. What we were talking about before was going into service mode and deflated the bags, not some Easter egg in the app. Interesting I’ll wait to hear from @mongo before I try this.

I’d love to have a squat mode, but not if I’m going to risk the suspension.

Sorry, I didn’t try it yet. I’m afraid if it works and no idea how to get it back up.
Yeah you’re asking the right questions. That’s what I thought, I just wanted to make sure that you hadn’t done it and gotten stuck. I suspect that if it does work the only way to re-inflate is to go in the service menu.

I kind of will be surprised if it actually works. A complicated PlayStation-like “cheat code” isn’t very Tesla-like. Also, it’s a vertical video (reel) 🤮 on YouTube, so, color me skeptical.

Does nobody have their cybertruck today/tonight? Well, sorry, I’m not trying it first! Where is @CyberGus when you really need him?

I would guess if you take it out of extract mode it would reinflate.

Both Chat and Grok (who I would expect to know all things Tesla better) agree that this is total bullshit and this guy is full of it!

Here is Grok’s summary:

The video’s claim is a lie—there is no secret squat/load mode or gesture-based Easter egg in the Tesla Cybertruck app. The squat effect is real but achieved through manual Service Mode deflation on the truck’s touchscreen, not via the app. Treat the video as a novelty or misinformation, and avoid using Service Mode for this purpose due to potential suspension damage.
If you want to explore safe ways to lower the Cybertruck for loading (e.g., using the standard Entry mode), or need guidance on accessing Service Mode cautiously, let me know!

——

Sadly, there’s only one way to find out for sure and that is for our own personal Super Dave, @CyberGus, to risk his personal safety and the life of his truck to try this out and tell us how it goes.

Godspeed, young man, we will be waiting for your report! 🫡

I didn't give you Grok's full dissertation on why this was nonsense however, what is this?

Easter eggs check
  • Known mobile-app Easter eggs exist, like the Back to the Future battery trick at exactly 121 miles of range. There is no documented or reproducible ride-height gesture Easter egg.
???!!!!

*Nevermind I researched it on my own I guess this is something that was in the app back beginning as early as 2019 before I got my first Tesla in 2020 that has since been removed sounds like it was pretty cool. Anybody here ever see this?
