A surreal moment!! The Workman’s Travel Center in Ozark, AR, off I-40 has 8 Tesla Superchargers. I pulled in this afternoon as 5 Chevys pulled up to charge, 4 suvs, maybe Equinox and a Silverado! All had manufacturer tags, they are making a test road trip, from Michigan to Los Angels, testing the charging capabilities. Took them about 12 to 15 minutes to charge and off they flew except for the Silverado which was still charging when I left in my Cybertruck. There was a Rivian there too! My truck was the only Tesla!

This just fills my little TSLA shareholder heart with rage…
But I’m not going to do this in yet another thread

In the long run this is a win for TSLA and us owners. I would love to see the faster chargers that get installed be somehow prioritized for Teslas though. Maybe a higher $ rate for non Teslas.

Wish I could agree with you on that. Higher rate yes. Prohibitively high. Take advantage of the first to market edge they have. Don’t just give it away for a $20 a month “subscription”. Punish people for buying non-teslas. There is not a thing the competitors can do about it without spending a prohibitive amount of money.

I have to disagree on this one. I feel that selling electricity is a separate business and the more chargers there are and the more electric cars. there are the more stable it will be. I welcome all brands at the Tesla chargers that I have to go to on road trips. Since most of us charge at home, I’m sure you appreciate the chargers around the country and if they’re not continuously selling electricity, they won’t be making a profit.

🤷‍♂️
Obviously Elon agrees with you on this.
I just don’t see it that way. Time will tell I guess..

Make EV's, have no supercharger network? lol

Tesla should have kept it closed, let Electrify America etc. deal with the EV plebs.

There are two selling points to an EV that matter most:

1. Software
2. Supercharger Network

Exactly. It’s like selling cellphones without towers. If Apple owned the cellular network, android could not exist. Why on earth give that up?

What if Tesla denies other manufacturers in the future after they are "hooked"?

there are a lot of Chevy SUVs electric in Miami and everyone I’ve talked to loves them. Most of these are young families trying to be progressive and make good economic decisions for their families. I fully support them. I feel greedy when I drive the cyber truck, but I share it as much as I possibly can because technology is always moving forward.
This week I came to a conclusion that I do not believe they will ever be a full self drive. I just experienced too many idiots that should not have a drivers license this week and you have to anticipate everything will technology be able to do that I wonder.
owning an electric vehicle and being able to charge at home is like my electric golf cart. I plug it in and I know I can go at that distance and I don’t have to stop anywhere for fuel. It’s just one of those things that can simplify your life I plug my car in every day when I get home and walk away and my wife does not have to deal with idiots at gas stations and then come home and cuss me out because of some crazy guy bugging her at a gas station.

I’d be happier with that but the longer of a period passes the less impactful the first to market advantage is. They don’t have to deny it at all, just make it expensive enough it compensates for the lack of sales. Make sure the person buying a hummer EV or R1T instead of a Cybertruck still pays them the profit they would make off a Cybertruck over five years.
EV adoption has gained enough momentum and will continue to happen. There is no longer any reason to be charitable on this.

Who cares, it's all about money to Tesla. I pull in, charge and go. Just like at a gas station. Just pull in, fill up and go. Just spreading hate is what they do, not us who have suffered from the idiots out there.

Not that it matters, but I feel Tesla should have specified charge port location MUST be either back left or front right in order to use the Super Chargers.

As you arrive to the Charging location, you see two available stalls. Great. There's a GM whatevermobile in front of you. He pulls into the one to the far right and then uses the connection for the stall beside him because his charge port is in the front left of his car.

No charging for you, my friend. Move along.

This shouldn't be a horribly difficult fix for manufacturers...
