@wx14k , when you ordered did it say 3-5 weeks for you? I wonder if yours is so fast because there was inventory near by. Given that Tym is so close to the factory, I'm surprised that you got yours so much more quickly than him.
I'm seemingly hopeless for anything fast :-(. I was hoping to do a roadtrip next weekend, that would have been just short of 4 weeks but that seems unlikely now.

Yep, it said 3-5 wks. Just took delivery about 3 hrs ago. The delivery center was 1hr away and I couldn’t get them to move it to my nearest Tesla unfortunately.

I assume it’s just because they do some predictive demand and maybe cars were already getting shipped to my area? Good luck to those waiting and hope you get info soon. I was pretty aggressive with messaging in the app. Not sure if that also made a difference.

They were doing deliveries at Giga Texas before the quarter ended. If you are willing to make the drive, you might ask if it's on the table. I asked but they said that they couldn't do the paperwork for Virginia from the factory, so it wasn't an option.

They said I could do it but I’d have to take my truck for trade in. And that many miles will require the trade in to be redone before delivery. It kinda sounded like a nightmare

A small change in my status. It went from saying "Delivery Schedule will open once we confirm your vehicles delivery date", now it says it’s on its way but I still can’t schedule delivery.
My VIN was also assigned when I clicked on vehicle details,

*SA07874X.
So 2025, no major update like some speculated with SpaceX buying out all old inventory. We are getting what we paid for.

No notification at all. I didn’t even figure out I had a VIN until I clicked the Vehicle Details link in the app and it showed up.
so unfortunately, it seems like you wouldn’t see this change unless you were constantly refreshing the app like I have been.
i suspect I’ll get a notification when it comes time to schedule delivery. Hopefully that’ll be tomorrow or Thursday. It sure would be nice to pick it up this week but I’m skeptical. It’ll probably push over a month between order and delivery.

Tesla just changed my loan back to 2.49% without telling me. After they fixed it the first time they again increased it to 2.49% from 0%. I’m so frustrated.
Check your app!

Edit: A day later, they fixed it and apologized. No explanation for why it continues to change, but CHECK before you sign your papers.

I've had a VIN for 3 days but still can't schedule delivery. I expect at least a week between being able to schedule and being able to pick up. So it's going to be at or over 5 weeks for me.

I’ve had a VIN for 5 days and the App just removed the “ETA for delivery” graphic and won’t let me schedule delivery.
Now there is just no info at all on what the next step is. Super frustrating.
I should be used to this, it’s my 5th Tesla but each time I hope the delivery process won’t be filled with frustration but each time I’m disappointed. It’s my fault for not learning the lesson.

It’s not fun nor is it ever easy to go through. I wish they’d give more insight into the timeline of receiving your vehicle instead of being like “hey your car is ready. Come get it”
