Yea here in FL they screw you coming and going. It's such a racket.Here in Arizona there is an interesting crease. Private sales are not taxed but dealership sales are. Dealership tax though is only on the difference between the trade in value and price of the car
So if someone sells you the car for trade-in value plus $100, they pay taxes on the entire value of the “new” car.
