I was pretty leary of this too but I’ve been using 14 a few days on the x now and it actually works really well so far.
My issue is that we have digital speed limit signs where I live and the system can’t read those. We have a Y and a CT and neither can read them. So it defaults to some pre programmed speed and we have to manually set the speed or we get run over. There are also a couple spots on the highway it thinks the speed drops from 65 to 55 where it doesn’t so it’s fun when it slams on the brakes on the highway for no reason 🤦‍♂️.

Digital like it looks just like a normal speed limit sign put instead of having the speed painted on it, it is digital so they can change it to whatever they want to.

If they do not have the right wheel speed adjustment active in V14, I am waiting till they fix it. I cannot use FSD with it that feature, to dangerous.
I drive always on chill and FSD stick close to speed limit.

That means us regular Cybertrucksters are getting closer than most suspected! (y)
Definitely inching closer. I’ll be happ[ier] with a new controller. I was on FSD yesterday and the truck was making a left turn and might have hit another truck had I not intervened. I have this list of issues with FSD and many/most of them can be traced back to the controller.

Yeah, they got rid of it. Apparently that just adjust the modes now so if you scroll down, instead of -5mph max speed, you'll go from say Hurry to Standard, and it'll adjust, but it takes away the absolute max that you can see/know what it is. I also have to use it often when it ignores speed changes from say 70->35 going into town.

We'll have to see how it behaves I guess. Speed control is and has been a long time issue with FSD, and the sign "reading" doesn't seem to work, etc.
Long time issue? Tesla is outright breaking the law. Without a speed control wheel to keep Tesla in check there could be lots of speeding tickets. Sadly, Tesla will just say it is ‘supervised’ self driving and that we are responsible. If we cannot monitor/change the speed Tesla kind of forfeits that argument. It might get tested in court. I just think it was a poor decision.

Absolutely. If the speed limit is 70-75-80 and I want to drive under those speeds, what do I do? Like you said, It doesn't even read the limits correctly all the time! I was just on a road were the speed limit is 45, the truck was doing the speed limit then decided to drive 25!!! WTF! That is not acceptable.

I haven’t used fsd in 6 months. I’m interested in giving it a try.

You’re in for a treat. It’s changed a lot. The version is the same but it evolves daily in my opinion.
