How is that dangerous without it? Def convenient.
One of many examples, the speed limit is 45 on a road in Long Island which is route 25 when it gets to the route 25 sign it drops to 25 mph instantly either got to scroll up really quickly.

Yeah, those State route signs, if they end in a 5 can be a problem. For me, it self-corrects in a few seconds. I just keep the accelerator pedal going until it corrects.

You can adjust the speed of the truck with the right scroll wheel to whatever speed you want.
Right scroll wheel on FSD 14.1 changes from "standard" to "chill" to "sloth" if rolling down, and "hurry" and Mad Max if rolling the scroll wheel up. Its a good implementation--think of speed brackets versus discrete numbers

Digital like it looks just like a normal speed limit sign put instead of having the speed painted on it, it is digital so they can change it to whatever they want to.
Interesting. Most of the digital speed limit signs my Tesla's encounter (i70 Denver - Mountain corridor) are read without issue.

Absolutely. If the speed limit is 70-75-80 and I want to drive under those speeds, what do I do? Like you said, It doesn't even read the limits correctly all the time! I was just on a road were the speed limit is 45, the truck was doing the speed limit then decided to drive 25!!! WTF! That is not acceptable.
I have been using FSD on a road trip from the Bay Area to Denver and back, by way of Sedona and Moab, and it is much more often the case that the speed limit is 45 and FSD thinks it is 75. Without a way to watchdog FSD I'd have been screwed many times over just on this trip. Don't get me wrong, we drove 1,600 miles in 14 days and the vase majority of it was using FSD and it did pretty well (I do have a laundry list of issues it still has in 13.2.9) for the most part.

I just drove I-25 and I-70 and FSD didn't correctly read a single digital speed limit, nor did it correctly read any speed limit sign posted ob the left side of the road, below a specific height on either side of the road, or on either a yellow/black or orange/black warning sign. Of course, most of these 'other' signs are in work areas where complying with the speed limit is particularly important.

For all the talk about the speed control right side wheel: for me, it has, and still, shows speed numbers on the screen when scrolling up or down. It usually can go to 85 MPH max. I usually have FSD in hurry mode because it never seems to go fast enough for me, and scrolling the wheel might make it speed up a little, or slow down a little, but it rarely actually goes the speed I set it to. It typically just acted as a suggestion to accelrate or decellerate button but to no specific speed, and uncorrelated to the digital speed shown on the screen when scrolling it up or down.

Lately I've been driving in standard FSD mode though, because in hurry mode it likes to ride in the fast lane like all the time and doesn't move right when faster traffic approaches from behind, and that makes me my own biggest pet-peeve in all of driving...which is people who just sit in the left lane like they own it...feeling all self-justified that they are going to speed limit and nobody has the right to pass them. On standard it seems to be better at getting out of the left passing lane...
I drive with the 'standard' profile and when I invariably have to use the scroll wheel I see the maximum speed change (both up and down) and FSD does adhere to that new maximum.

Lol grok is never right for any question I asked so far.
On this trip we were just on we asked Grok where a good place to eat was close to a specific SC. Grok went on and on about a few restaurants and even gave directions. It turned out that none of the directions were correct and my wife had Google open and it told us that at least 2 of the restaurants were closed at that time. We now fact check just about everything she says, or assume it is just fanciful chatting and take it for entertainment value.

With my Cybertruck, whenever FSD is engaged, auto wipers is also engaged. Then when FSD is turned off, the auto wipers return back to the off setting. It does let you turn it back off after FSD is engaged manually, but if you forget, like I often do.. It will likely dry wipe at some point of the trip.

From my understanding, this is intended behavior, as Vision will decide if there is anything obstructing the view of the front facing FSD camera array and clean it when needed (or in my case, even when its not needed scratching the hell out of my front window over time).
THIS is the question I wanted Grok to answer. I know how to turn the wiper off but the question is WHY must I do it each time I use FSD if I want to avoid the wear on the wiperblade and the potential scratching on the dry windshield. (Thanks for another shortcut but you missed the point🤗.)

Would everyone be happier if they were 0-5? Or -2 to +2 with default being zero?
