Are any of you guys with 2025's running a roof mounted light bar?

I took a look at my truck and discovered that there are no mounting points for the lights. From what I understand, they got rid of them for the '25s.

Is that for a pair or only one side?
It’s for a pair. Installation included, but that does mean a service appointment and waiting around or getting a loaner. Still, not bad.

Seriously? That’s a service appointment? I mean…good on Tesla for offering it, but with a trim tool those take about 10 seconds to pop off and less time to line up the new ones and hammer them down with your fist.
Maybe 30 or so seconds if you’re being super careful and it’s your first time doing it.
I’d bet on them making that a mobile service if you schedule it.

It’s very strange what they ship to you and what they deem necessary to have installed by service. The bulky heavy stuff like the spare tire I can understand. But this? Yeah, super easy and super light.

Yeah, I mean the crossbars are both heavier and require 16 nuts to be torqued to spec using the little tool they provide and those are shipped to your house.

Exactly. They’ll let you do those, mud flaps, wiper blades and HEPA filters, but plastic trim pieces? We can’t be trusted.

Maybe because of the potential for them to fly off on the freeway and cause an accident? Kind of like cantrails?

My service center lets me pick up things without having them installed (parts, lightbar, ...) so one might be able to do the same with these if they don't want to wait.

The $150 shop price is a better deal than the parts only site ($270 per side 😬).

The rear version of this trim piece is only good for a limited number of removal/ installation cycles.

Yeah…one. Those clips are super fragile.
