I tested it all day and it's better but it's still in no place to be unsupervise, it's definitely more hesitant on doing things, a couple of times it wouldn't make a choice between street lanes and was just doing this wheel saw back and forth before I finally had to take over. It works good on freeway metters now and if did a good job with emergency vehicles. I'm about to start a YouTube channel called fsd failures because it's done some crazy stuff with me and I always just have it set to standard I don't know what I would do if mad Max went wrong loll
I agree 100% Previous version was smoother. This one, is way more aggressive and hesitant (perhaps jerky is a better word). I hope they polish these and many more issues soon. I cannot feel relaxed while in FSD as I felt before.

I never said I wasn't taking over but when this YouTube channels sit here and say it's ready to be unsupervised someone needs to provide the other side of the truth, and some of things it does even if you takeover can cause someone to rear end you

When you switch from AutoPilot to FSD in Main Menu it still says right scroll is for speed adjust..

No mention of the updates there..

I do really want speed adjust back.. I actually like sloth but it was also nice to scroll speed on the fly.

Apparently my Cybertruck thinks it’s better than everyone else and decided to take up two spaces!!
I was hoping version 14 would park better than I do manually, I may wait for a newer release that will smooth out some of these problems,

mine reversed into a spot yesterday at Marie Calendars.. it even corrected itself to center almost perfect and not overhanging the sidewalk..

Maybe it knows the elders are serious about their Pies..

I downloaded yesterday morning and started a 6 hour round trip after it took the entire 55 minutes to update. It headed confidently in an unexpected direction with navigation blue line full and a acceptable arrival time. Im saying things like "I didn't even know about this road"..etc for about 15 min then start zooming out to see exactly where I am going and deciding navigation is making shit up and has me doing several u-turns that surely will not get me to where Im going. I take over and start back tracking and navigation tried to take me into a dead end cemetery. I let it self drive when I get back to familiar roads and it takes a wrong turn and tries to do a side trip to back track...another actual self(me) drive u-turn.
Drive is pretty smooth from this point until it tries to back into a handicap charging spot and misses the spot parking on the area to exit the truck. So I reposition( it's ok I have the proper plates) and charge. Drive home was good with just a long justifiable wait to pull out of McDonald's due to cross traffic with no light.

Had my first end-to-end run with FSD 14.1.7 this morning. From my driveway to a parking spot at the local Walgreens, I touched nothing after the "Start Self-Driving" button. It chose a great spot and parked perfectly, finally living up to its tag! 🤖 📐

Tesla Cybertruck FSD v14.1.7 rolling out to all Cybertruck owners! Update yours yet?? IMG_0286

Parking is 50/50. Sometimes it's perfect and fast, other times slow and bad. I've had 3 or 4 attempts at handicap parking and multiple park jobs completely over the line, but I love the concept.

It's crazy in my driveway. My driveway is like 3 lanes and the truck parks at an angle attempting to block all 3.

Good progress, becoming something I could actually use.

Still treats 4 way stops as a parking lot, even with no traffic.

Attempting to drive a 1/4 mile to take a right turn, however FSD decided it wanted to go through the residential and 4x the distance and multiple turns, just to output on the same street, don’t know what’s going on there.

Very smooth driving, and no longer braking hard on peoples asses on the freeway THANK YOU FFS.

It’s called supervised for a reason sooo yeah, you did do something that dumb and no, it’s not covered.
You're right, sorry the Double Think™ V420.69 update just isn't quite sticking in my brain yet. I'll try to remember:

Good driving when FSD is on = FSD responsible, we're ready for driverless
Bad driving when FSD is on = driver responsible, regardless of time window to react

GOT IT

But seriously, I'm just as annoyed with the folks pre-judging and just FUDing like their first name was Elmer. However contributing to edge cases and providing criticism when it's due is a necessary part of the feedback loop. A good driver typically backs out far enough that they end up in the correct lane/side of the road, not backing up just enough to clear the parked cars next to it before shifting into drive/forward. Cutting corners instead of swinging a wider arc is another rookie mistake. Again, I get the frustration but responding like a human version of the ackchyually meme isn't helpful or constructive, but I'm sure it made you feel better 🙃.

Yeah, basically. We’re here to supervise FSD while it learns and to keep it from doing anything too stupid. Once it no longer does stupid things we can stop supervising it. It’s not a new concept and not unlike teaching a kid with a learner’s permit.

FSD to the bank this morning. Tried to park right up front in handicap slot. I took over but didn’t get a prompt to voice what went wrong?
