I just got my paper notice in the mail today. Parts not available, Tesla will follow up directly with next steps.

It says they inspect the light bar and you may get a new one if there's any issues with what is installed. Mine seemed to be pretty solid, but I am sure one weird gust could do some damage. Kinda hope I get a new one though.

How many of you got the mechanical attachments already?

Same. I don’t like the aftermarket versions. I haven’t seen one that is sleek and looks factory.

OK folks, real world experience, got my Foundation Beast, 28Jun2024, got my first light bar installed 14May2025, stayed on for a while, blew off after a couple of months (I'm retired and take it on multi hour long trips rarely), got a new one with upgraded adhesive on 8Sept2025, and it's still on, and even passed the 100 mph test (chasing down an idiot who gave me the finger), at 20k miles. Saw an article where the latest design has metal brackets on each side bolted down, not sure just yet if they can install them on an existing bar glued to the windshield.........

Exact same. Got second (new) light bar on, a week later they released the brackets instead of glue.

They said that if there was no adherence problem, they'd leave the light on and affix the new brackets.

Does anyone have a picture of what the OEM brackets look like?

Honestly, bc of the holidays i haven't found time to rewire my new one back up. It still has the black tape on it. Which, is actually required by CA law, but is kinda overlooked like window tints and no license plates.

Did you catch the guy that gave you the finger? What did you do to him?

I received the letter and it says parts are not yet available for the mechanical attachment solution. They also are going to remove all light bars and put back on with tape to replace the glue and the bracket to hold it. The light bar will be replaced with a new one only if the current light bar is found to be damaged upon inspection. They also say they will not redo the electrical connection, so it looks like it is up to us to reconnect that ourselves.
