I'm at 99% FSD driving history with my Cybertruck, and my wife has a 2018 Model3 AI 2.5 with Autopilot. She loves to find any oppertunity take my truck to work, and I end up having to "drive" her Model3. Yeah, sure, it has Autopilot, but that does not compare at all to FSD. If you know, you know.

I am pushing for my wife to get a new Model3 with AI4, but after running the numbers and us being 1.5-2 years away from AI5, I am thinking instead about upgrading the 2018 Model3 with AI2.5 to AI3 for $1000 and subscribing monthly for the next year or two until AI5 models come out.

Question: Anyone out there able to comment on driving both AI4 and AI3 vehicles?

I had v13 on the truck and drove cross country on it, but it seems like a lifetime ago, and I wanted to get the perspective of someone who has both now and switches between the two, and how is that experience?

HW3 is dead. Memory is maxed out. No redundancy...thus will never get FSD unsupervised. Cannot get better.

Get her the $60k CT...problem solved.
She seriously asked for that, but since we only have a 1-car garage to charge at, I need to fold the mirrors in and have about 3" on each side when pulling in. I'll post some pics in a bit to show how tight it is. There is no way in hell my wife can pull this off without destroying the truck or garage lol.

yep, I hate to throw money at old or dead tech, but I am wondering if it can hold us over until AI5.

I park mine outside. As long as you are not anal, I just use a power washer to clean my truck every 2-3 weeks. Super quick. :D

I charge mine outside. My charger is on the side wall of the garage about half way. I cut the bottom of the door track and a small part of the wood trim around the garage door so the cable can fit under and out of the way. I can close the door and the cable reaches pretty far down the driveway. Could do something like that unless your charger is on the back wall..

I wish i could park it outside of the garage but i live in a townhouse and outside the garage is a red zone. Ive seen neighbors get towed.
We have a parking space about 75’ away from the house and swap parking in the garage to charge every few days.

option 1: buy the $60k CT 😁 and I have to swap the trucks constantly. 👎

option 2: get a model3 and my wife can park that herself
