This is about mental illness, not Elon's decisions. I was looking at all the ICE vehicles in the news, all Chevy Tahoes. Why are these folks not going ape on GM or vandalizing every Chevy Tahoe? Then I realized it is foolish to try to figure the motivations of mentally ill people who think its smart to ruin other people's property or wear gas masks in the street. Pointless. Just enjoy the truck and know that it is polarizing and most people are just jealous of what they can never afford.
I think it’s hilarious and sad that people actually think people are mad at our teslas because they are jealous. How out of touch are we? It’s Elon or it’s because it’s different and electric! But I agree we need to just try to enjoy the truck.

I had a concern about actions like this prior to placing my order for my CT. One of my primary concerns was if I would have to park it outside at my house. I measured the clearance in my garage and each time I measured I determined I was about an inch to short. I figured I would have to cut into the drywall at the front of the truck and set the wall studs back a couple inches so the front of the truck would actually extend into the wall a couple inches for the garage door to close behind it. When I finally brought my CT home, I eased it into the garage, just barely bumping against the wall then checked the rear clearance to find out exactly how much I would have to modify the wall. The door cleared the rear bumper by a little over an inch. I'm not sure how I could have been off by that much for as many times as I had measured prior to bringing the truck home, but I was relieved that I wouldn't have to modify my wall to keep my truck safe in the garage from the midnight vandals. As for Elon being the cause of the actions of a few miscreants, any business leader can bring negative behavior from slivers of society. A customer of a small store can be the victim of the store owner unintentionally posting signs in his front window that are too high for short people to easily read. The likely hood of the customer's car being burnt to the ground over something so innocuous is quite a bit less than Elon's participation in the administration of a polarizing President. Still, the end result is a third party suffering the consequences of an excessively emotional individual who can't control their outbursts of seething frustration. We have come to the point were we need to examine our public persona to ensure it's neutral in every aspect in the eyes of the total spectrum of society so as not to offend anybody in the least, intentionally or by misinterpretation.

Before I bought my CT, my wife was joking with me: “we need to buy a new house with bigger garage”. When I got the CT, I tried it and I could manage to squeeze it in, with about 1 foot room!

About the politically motivated acts, the mainstream media should take the main responsibility to spread hates.
