I think the main thing that will cause people to bail on their orders is if Tesla actually goes through with disallowing FSD transfer for those who ordered before the policy change. Is that even legal? Of course those customers will get their $250 deposit back but it will leave a long lasting bad taste in their mouths and a distrust of the company. It's very sad to see.
I disagree, though I understand your outrage.

Tesla's FSD users are 12% of fleet as of Q4, though Cybertruck usage is reportedly about 2x that number. The percentage of that group who are FSD owners vs. subscribers is smaller, and those who ordered the new model is smaller yet, and the portion impacted by this issue is smaller still, and the portion who will cancel over it smaller still.

Sure, we will hear anecdotes of people impacted by this change, but it's not going to amount to mass bail outs, at least for this reason.

The Bed will be the same as the RWD Cybertruck.. Look for some videos on that and you can see its just a one piece bottom. This is a real upgrade and honestly I never used the smugglers bay anyways.
yeah smugglers bay is usually covered in my truck with something in the bed so I use the frunk.

Here is a view of the bed and other trim of the RWD.

Smugglers bay SHOULD have been filled with batteries, and the solid truck bed should have been what shipped.
I am also in the camp that it will be the same as the RWD bed, just haven't seen it confirmed on a build.

The Bed of the AWD Standard should be the same as the RWD Cybertruck in most respects (standard bed lamps, no L-track, no gear locker). However, the AWD Standard will get the bed outlets, which the RWD lacked:

Note also that the AWD Standard, like the RWD, should come with L-Track slots. You could fill them with OEM Tesla L-Tracks for $250.

This morning I took my CT in for service. SA says to me please hold onto order. We are working things through.
They better be haha! Definitely canceling if cannot transfer FSD but will wait till the last minute to cancel and get the $250 back. They would be fools to not allow HW3 transfers.

From everything I have researched this new $59,990 AWD trim is EXACTLY the same as the discontinued $69,990 RWD trim but Tesla added the following standard features:

-120v/240v bed outlets
-front motor and associated AWD hardware
-powered tonneau cover

I’m still crossing my fingers that it will include the flip down rear center seat with cup holders and Off-road Modes like Baja so we can rip it!

For sure. Just got home from returning the Cybertruck I had for a 48 hour demo. It was a LOT of fun. Noticed that a lot of drivers seemed a bit intimidated by the silver beast. The Tesla reps there said the same thing about the FSD reversal. They were not happy at the FSD transfer change. Not AT ALL. They also said that there was a lot of pushback and that Tesla was still evaluating what they were going to do.

On another note FSD on the AWD Cybertruck was pretty good but not on the level the the 2026 Model Y. It made some mistakes that my Y never makes and also got lost in a shopping center that was next to the Tesla Store and couldn't figure out how to get out. I gave it a good 5 minutes while it wandered down dead end roads before I took over. That said it was completely safe, just like the Y.
