I disagree, though I understand your outrage.I think the main thing that will cause people to bail on their orders is if Tesla actually goes through with disallowing FSD transfer for those who ordered before the policy change. Is that even legal? Of course those customers will get their $250 deposit back but it will leave a long lasting bad taste in their mouths and a distrust of the company. It's very sad to see.
Tesla's FSD users are 12% of fleet as of Q4, though Cybertruck usage is reportedly about 2x that number. The percentage of that group who are FSD owners vs. subscribers is smaller, and those who ordered the new model is smaller yet, and the portion impacted by this issue is smaller still, and the portion who will cancel over it smaller still.
Sure, we will hear anecdotes of people impacted by this change, but it's not going to amount to mass bail outs, at least for this reason.
