You won't believe how many people have asked me over the nearly two years of owning Cybertruck about how I fill the washer fluid (and change the mega-wiper, stay tuned for that video). It's of course covered in the online owners manual, which not everyone reads, so here's a very, very brief YouTube video. I mean, it's washer fluid.

Kudos to that and good luck with your videos.

I somehow have evaded those pesky or inquisitive people asking me how I refill the washer fluid. I feel left out...

Video idea: testing for the best washer fluids to keep cameras clean in difficult conditions.

ooohhh....interesting. The only camera sthat can be squirted directly is the front bumper cam and, indirectly, the one behind the windshield methinks. Really should have a squirter for the tailgate camera.

Have you found some washer fluids to be ineffective? Living in NJ I tend to stick with all-season ones.

I was thinking about the situations where road salt etc isn't fully getting cleared by the wiper and FSD is not happy. Maybe some formulas are better than others? NJ is a great place to test this I imagine.

Good idea! We should be done with road salt season (fingers crossed) but you're right the salt/muck spray does impact the cameras, especially the rear tailgate one.

Could probably create some kind of simulated test with salt water solution sprayed onto the windshield. Thinking about Pan the Organizer style simulation. Let me see what I can come up with.

I find some of the ICE vehicle's oily residues cause a lot of problems where I live. Salt, oil and just a teeny bit of mist is the worst mix. FSD tries like a champ but yeah I've had two failures I assume from that stuff slowly building up.

I have considered putting a hard soap residue next to the cameras as well. The theory being whatever water moisture is available has it's surface tension broken by a tiny bit of soap.

Any way, have fun.

ClearVuCam makes (2) kits one for the side front fender cameras, and another for the rear tailgate camera, it connects to the front license plate camera's washer hose, behind the frunk, so when you wash it, you wash all of them connected to that hose.
