Is there a way to install them without damaging the wheels?
There are some mitigations that others have tried to minimize the scratching, but they are a friction-fit. It's not really possible to eliminate any damage.

My service center swapped out all 4 wheels for me. The damage is consistent with all 4 wheels so they swapped them out. But you cannot put them back on as they will not swap them out again.

Same here. They replaced all 4 Core wheels and told me to not put the covers back on as it was a one time deal.

I tried and they were going to charge me to replace all wheels. I tried being persistent but got nowhere. Disappointed - had I known it would happen I would have told them not to put the covers on at delivery.
Go to a different dealership if possible. For my second truck I told them no covers please. I don't even want them.

They opened the package and put them all in my bed. I still have them. Never installled.

Has anyone been successful at getting tesla to cover rim repair caused by using the stock aero covers on their cybertruck? I took mine off and man its not so great looking lol…
This sounds like a class action lawsuit to me I mean, think about it. We paid $3500 to the factory for a certain wheel and cover. I say again and a cover that is meant to be taken on and off otherwise the wheel underneath would just be generic and blank so Tesla knows this and they say tough shit. Don’t use the cover. Oh I don’t think so. this rubs me the wrong way I picked up my cyber truck a couple of weeks ago and got the upgraded wheels and the cap doesn’t even lineup with the groove in the tire so ridiculous

Tesla Dublin refinished my wheels when I complained. They look better than new. Now trying to figure out how I can modify the cover to not scratch the wheels.

Nice! I have an appointment there in 10 days for the rims, hopefully they will do the same for me!

To be specific, since there are 2 service centers in Dublin, it was the one on Houston Place.

Just mulling this over and decided to remove the Aero Covers. I like the look of the un-covered rims much better and bought the black out kit from Teslarati (lug nut covers and center cap).

Considering the minimal range impact the Aero's they will be garaged for the foreseeable future.

It's off to the wrap shop tomorrow morning so I'll be down a CT for the week.
