I have been in that exact area several times over the last couple of years, and have had random strangers at adjacent stops in an intersection just go berserk in their own cars.

There is a heavy demonic pressure in the Asheville area, and if your drive a Cybertruck, I highly advise extreme caution when nearby.

I am glad they caught the person that did that. The owner mentioned Rust in the scratches. I bet that is just the iron that was deposited from the nails and not the SS panels.
This lady is incredibly lucky that she was caught via sentry mode and arrested.
Had myself or my wife caught her in the act doing this to our truck she would have had a significantly poorer outcome.
Reporting these people to the police is often times the kindest thing you can do.

The scratches are superficial and will fade. The SS will oxidize naturally. There is no rust, only iron oxide deposits on the surface that will go away in a car wash. There's nothing to "repair". I've gotten dozens of dog scratches from them jumping up next to the window to say hi. They go away after a day or two. It's one of the many benefits of having a truck that doesn't have paint.

Every time I would drive past any protest, men, women, others… all looked like the person in the picture. Sometimes with purple hair, but same faces like they’re copy and pasted. And very angry without seemingly having to worry about any personal finances, employment or time. It’s a strange world.

The Cybertruck isn't the first vehicle to be truly polarizing. The Prius held the title for a good long time but the Cybertruck now assumes the mantle. It gets nut jobs from the left and right taking their ill defined grievances out on an inanimate object that happens to be a prime example of Americas lead in AI Technology and highly efficient, cost effective manufacturing. Tesla is Americas best software development and manufacturing company.

The Cybertruck is simply an amazing vehicle and these ass hats can whine and cry all they want. It's not a vehicle for them and I'm actually very grateful for that fact.

My theory is that deep down, people see this truck and realize: "you know what, we are very close to never owning or manually driving our own personal vehicles again".

It doesn't fit in their narrow worldview, and they revolt against it. The weak minded, in a much more visceral way, of course.

And it also doesn't help that there are still active smear campaigns against Tesla and Elon, where groups like Antifa even have local classes where they teach people how to try and damage Tesla vehicles and get away with it.

We live in a world full of mentally ill people, and instead of making room for them with proper care, we systemically shut down all the asylums. Because apparently it's more kind to allow them to just roam around and destroy good order and discipline.

Regardless of damage done, the intent and attempt were made. There should be consequences for this as there are in other "attempted" cases. But you are correct, the stainless thick steel is a plus, good thing the owner didn't have a wrap.

This literal Karen is another example of how jealous people who lack brains are easily manipulated into angry, hateful people who lack brains.

Caldwell County is near Hickory, N.C. and I-40.

There have been instances of Tesla haters acting out in that area over the past few years, including one time where a group of pickup owners intentionlly parked in four or more of the Supercharger stalls at a Hickory Sheetz location near I-40 Exit 126, to block access.

Same thing also has happened at a Greensboro shopping mall supercharger location not that far from there.

Winston Salem, NC is also near there with it's economy having been affected by significant cigarette sales loss over the years, and there is a lot of resentment toward policies such as no smoking on aircraft, etc. and the trend to quit smoking. So there's a lot of butt-hurt sentiment and brainwash propaganda narratives being pushed in that area which amplify disdain or hate toward anything that promotes environmentally clean solutions.

Often the hate being acted out on, is seeded or driven by corporations pushing sentiment and narratives, because they are on the losing side of innovative clean energy transitions and reduction of toxins in one's lifestyle habits. Some areas have been on economic gravy trains based on polluting or toxic industries, for decades, and now their tracks are running out.

Of course I'm not totally certain, but I think these factors are at least part of what's driving negative or anti-Tesla sentiment in such areas.

Well that's a well-nuanced theory. My theory is more simple. There are too many mentally ill people with low self-esteem.
