How is the power supplied? The existing 18L refrigerator utilizes the 120VAC behind the center console (first inefficiency, HV battery is DC), then converts it back to 12VDC (second inefficiency). Some folks McGyvered a DC-DC buck converter 48 to 12 VDC to avoid double conversion.
The AC converter draws directly off the high voltage battery pack. So does the 48VDC. Either way you get double conversion on the way to the compressor. The compressor's drive circuitry uses an inverter to produce the 3 phase power needed to spin the rotor to run the compressor regardless of it drawing on 12VDC, 24VDC, or 120VAC. Which input voltage used really doesn't matter.

I was just about to buy another fridge for the cybertruck sold by tesstudio (and many others)
What are the advantages over that one?

What an itty bitty opening. Seems fairly useless. And if that’s a sliding door, how is that gonna thermally seal?

I like this, price is right, you need to remove the USB-A port add another USB C. How is this powered also can you elaborate on how the sliding door insulates? Love this BTW i hate coolers in my truck prefer the stealth approach.

I have one of those contraptions that does a half ass job, but does it good enough that sits in my cup holder and cools my cup, i just gotta flip the soda upside down to cool the top part or move it around, but say i leave it on camp mode and go into one of my sons ,medical appointments, when we come out. My drink is still cold, or the soda i set in there to get cold is nice and ready, it does heat too, but i admit it can be a pain if you really are drinking like a fish, but i dont often go from room temp to cool - but it works for me /shrug

Tell them to remove the USB-A its a dated port nothing uses that in 2026 and add nother UBS-C that would be better to charge to device on USB-C

Will it automatically switch from cooling to heating when the internal temperature drops too low? I'm thinking from the standpoint of maintaining medications at their desired storage temperature.
Hi! It won’t automatically switch from cooling mode to heating mode. Simply set your desired temperature, and once it’s reached, the unit will maintain a stable internal temperature.;)
