Long-time lurker, first post — finally pulled the trigger on the $60k Cybertruck after two years of deliberation. Expecting delivery around Sep/Oct.

My question: does anyone know whether the new non-premium dual-motor AWD will include a rear fold-down armrest?

The conjecture I've seen suggests Tesla built this trim using leftover RWD parts to clear inventory — which would mean cloth seating and no armrest, same as the RWD. But there's also meaningful feature parity with the premium AWD, so it's not a given either way.

I've searched the site and forums thoroughly and can't find anything definitive. My two teenage boys are big fans of the armrest in the premium version, so I'm hoping it carries over — but curious if anyone has come across confirmed info or has a well-reasoned take.

It does not according to Sawyer Merritt. It's the same seats as the RWD.

Sawyer is not a credible source for this… been trying to hit up Lars on X for an answer but no luck yet.. also wondering if it will have any off-road mode? Hopefully Baja at a minimum. My guess is it will have the armrest.

Very cool. Hopefully he responds. I think it would be a miss if they left it out.

I too am curious about the offroad modes!

Lars is the wrong one to hit up. Wes knows everything about the CT. He corrected Lars about the headlights.

Wes heavily implied it's the same interior as the RWD, but didn't completely confirm. I'm sure that's where Sawyer cited it.

Sorry I meant to say Wes not Lars … I had my Tesla Execs mixed up… either way let’s hope we get the rear cupholders/armrest… if not aftermarket will offer a console that sits on the center seat with cupholders. Kinda ghetto but better than nothing.

Yep...very much hoping this isn't the case and that we get the arm rest. All of the small downgrades are starting to add up for me. If Tesla offers a $10k upgrade path to premium dual motor AWD like some have suggested in order to move those units, I would likely jump. With that being said, still hoping the non-premium works out!

Hey y’all. I had a cyber truck overnight demo drive last weekend and I was talking with Grok in the car about my dilemma between the two models in my concern with no rear armrest, and he leaked to me that Tesla is going to be offering a $2500 premium interior package upgrade for the cyber truck base all-wheel-drive that includes vegan leather seats and the full down armrest in the back. it’s not configurable yet, but it will be coming to the configurator soon and people will be able to add it to their existing orders. It’s really interesting. Also to note the upgrade will have to be done at the service center, it doesn’t come from the factory with the upgrade.

I’ll try and clip the video and post it here in my conversation where Grok confirmed it but in the meantime, go to ask rock and ask about the premium or the interior upgrade package for the baseball all-wheel-drive cyber truck at $2500 and see what he tells you. ✌

it’s possible…quite possible. But I did verify it with three different croc sessions, which lose their session every time a phone call comes in or you disconnect. It doesn’t have active memory continuity between sessions.

Will be interesting if someone else can go in their cyber truck and confirm what they have. Or on X with ask @grok (am not premium)

Grok has 0 insider info.

Wes already said they would not offer the rear screen retrofits for the AWD.
