[Help] Debris trapped inside interior camera housing - FSD unavailable

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for some advice regarding an issue I’ve encountered with my Cybertruck.

As you can see in the attached photos, a piece of debris has somehow worked its way inside the camera housing assembly located behind the rearview mirror. This is physically obstructing the interior camera lens, causing my FSD to be unavailable due to a "camera blockage" error.

Given the sensitivity of the hardware in that assembly, I’m hesitant to attempt any DIY removal to avoid damaging the plastic clips or the lens itself.

I’m hoping to get some input from the community:

1. Is this a known issue? Has anyone else experienced debris getting into this specific housing?
2. Is it user-serviceable? Is there a safe way to access that area without risk of breaking trim pieces, or is this strictly a Service Center job?
3. Warranty/Service: If this requires professional intervention, has anyone had luck getting this covered under warranty, or is it typically treated as a non-warranty repair?

I have already scheduled a service appointment, but I would appreciate any insights or experiences you might have before I take it in.

And no it's not a known issue, wonder if it's something that broke internally, maybe a clip?

Without DIY there isn't much beyond a service visit.
I've cleaned those cameras three times, but understand not wanting to mess with it.

I've had two tiny black bolts fall down in the housing and had to pull it down to get those out, but haven't gone a far as you would have to go. Maybe I should so I can finally find out where these black bolts go. Either SC broke something cleaning it or they are backing out. It wasn't hard getting the housing down with pry tool but the next layer might be fun.

Glare sheild has the more breakable clips and is a little tricky to reassemble.

It's a pretty small screw. This is the second I have extracted. SC supposedly put the first back. I have my doubts.

Huh, not very many black screws in that area. Mirror (not it) and front camera are all I see

Hmm. I wonder if that is it in your pic? It's smaller than the one that connects the mirror. It's about what you would see in small electronics. Also, no blue seize or seal stuff on it. Whatever it was holding wasn't heavy.

For the debris issue, while this wouldn't fix the problem, it may help move it away from the camera lens. Take either a compressor with a blower nozzle or one of those cans you use to spray out your computer. Pry the side out very little and spray in there. That little plastic flake will react to any kind of air flow.
