Thank goodness Tesla is making an attempt to learn the difference between a critical intervention and a "I just feel like driving now" intervention.

I know, right? I found the new disengagement reporting screen to be a refreshing change, it's amazing how much vitriol some people express over it, some even thinking it's a critical safety flaw, LOL!

Yup. It is definitely a temporary thing. If they use the information to let me tell them how fast I like going in different circumstances, that'll be great.

Could the interface be better? Absolutely.

It seems we may have an epidemic of drama queens. People who take the smallest inconvenience, something barely worth mentioning, and try to turn it into something with far more significance than it ever possessed.

It actually feels less organic and more like part of the larger movement to slow Tesla down, any way possible. A way to make a mountain out of a molehill, to cast a feeling of fear, uncertainty and doubt over everything Tesla. To give people a bad feeling whenever "Tesla" is mentioned. Taken all together, It feels more like an attempt at social engineering, an attempt to change the very fabric of reality, at least as far as public perception is concerned.

There’s a lot of truth in this. Small issues are constantly being amplified into something much bigger than they actually are, and over time that shapes perception in a real way.


And it’s not just about Tesla, it’s a broader issue in society. We’re seeing a pattern where outrage gets rewarded, minor inconveniences get elevated, and narratives form faster than facts.


That environment makes it easier for fear, uncertainty, and doubt to spread, whether intentional or not.


And stepping back from the noise, the Cybertruck is an incredible machine, almost a robot on wheels, pushing design, engineering, and autonomy into new territory.


The bigger challenge is learning to filter signal from noise, because without that, perception can drift far from reality.

it is a pointless change, since the verbal message is still a choice. But I am thinking they are going to get rid of the choice to tell them exactly why you stopped FSD...and most of my "explanations" as to why I disengaged FSD have been ...lets call it colorful, so I may be to one of the owners to blame, if not all of us. Maybe " The @#$%^&* truck tried to make a left %^&* turn with a *&^%^& truck coming!!! PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO THE $%^&* ROAD!!!

I try to be constructive with my comments but I don't always think fast enough so I'm sure a lot of mine are of no help. I have given a few "What are you thinking?" reports.

I was trying to remember if I had ever encountered a "STOP EXCEPT RIGHT TURN" sign in my nearly 50 years of driving and I couldn't recall ever seeing one so I did some research. It's often referred to as a "Pennsylvania quirk" although there are a handful of states that have them in rare circumstances. Oregon is the clear second place but, other than these two states, they are very rare. I've driven in both Pennsylvania and Oregon and can't remember seeing any of them (although I could have forgotten).

In any case, I'm guessing Tesla doesn't want to consume hardware bandwidth and memory resources by training for a situation that rarely, if ever, appears for most drivers. They will probably add in the capability to roll through these edge case signs as the hardware becomes more powerful and gets more memory. Until then it's certainly not a priority.

After 2 days of driving the truck I'm not too bothered still with the popup. I guess it would be nice to have a choice to turn it off or only use the voice option. It still has both. Maybe they will remove the voice though.

It would be nice if Grok could just ask when you disengaged and then you could explain.

This screen bugs me a lot. It is a required screen that cannot be exited without pressing one of the four options. While I understand Tesla uses this feedback to additionally train FSD, it shouldn't be a requirement for drivers to provide this info especially while actively driving after disengaging FSD. Something something...freedoms and things

You on advanced updates? Or standard? It seems like Tesla feels if you select advanced updates, your in for the beta testing. And like most beta testers, your feedback is required to improve the software.

This is just a theory of course. I am not on standard and don't know anyone that is. But I'd be curious if by the time the version of the software makes it to the standard update users, if this pop-up is still there.
