For those following VIN ranges on new builds, we ordered a new beast on the 1st of May and we were issued a VIN yesterday.

Apparently tesla is prioritizing beast production as was mentioned by a couple of other members.

No delivery date yet, but from past experience that should populate within another week.

Issued VIN is in 94k range.

I find that very interesting, any visible and not so visible improvements from the 2024's?
The newer models are quieter/tighter feeling. my first ones (39k and 49k vins) both had the speed rattle @ 80mph and were pretty messy feeling over bumps uphill (beast front drive thing - better with 'slippery surface' enabled, but both still 'loose')

The new 26 I have already put about 3k miles on now does not exhibit these bangs and thunks nearly as bad (same road I have driven for years). The 26 still does benefit from 'slip surface' setting. Overall its fully subjective but I feel a difference over the earlier ones. Will see over time.

Had my fair share of issues on the 24's (one was bought back) - time will tell on the 26's of course.

A BIG downside on the 2026 (for me) is the 'lane departure assist' can no longer be turned off for good. It cycles back on each time you go for a drive. In my rural area the it really is annoying with lane keeping - I have to remember each time to turn it off or it takes over the wheel when it 'thinks' we are drifting over a lane (again, rural style roads and OLD lane markings)

Another interesting note is the charge curve is different - the 26 holds higher KWH longer at my local supercharger. Not drastic but def noticeable.

These are great trucks (sport trucks) and have only gotten better. I speak with my wallet and still choose the CT. Solid vehicle all around.

I have a 26 also… that loud clunk when accelerating from the front always catches me off guard!

If the truck drove in slippery mode permanently it would be great as it feels much better!

Seems about right, spend more money and get better treatment.

Those popper class $59k orders, why not make them wait 12-18 months to get theirs.

Sonders did a flash 10 day sale and he ran with the money and never delivered one MetaCycle unit.

Not comparing, but it sucks just as much.

Picked her up today. Super happy with external inspection. gaps are better than my last 3 beast walk arounds at the pickup lot. Got it with core tires and my god those are smooth. Truck is nearly dead silent on the highway - kinda cool. But the martian bead locks with K03's are going on anyway :)

Has a newer version of the OS than my other 26 (maybe update is coming soon to me) but the new truck has 2026.14.3. That alone was interesting as quite a few UI changes from my other truck with 2026.2.9.10

Another note of interest. This truck was purchased on tesla.com as the 99k beast with not even tire upgrade. The truck I got today had the window sticker in the truck and it was showing $119k (as if it had LUXE package. window sticker spells it all out) - So they must be pulling LUXE options electronically on unsold beasts. Truck was built in 4/26 -

Anything for a sale...

When I got my Model Y, I bought a Long Range, but it has the performance rear motor, suspension and brakes. The interior I think is normal Long Range. At least it is no different than my friend's MYLR. It did have the 19" wheels like I said was a must. I often drive on roads that kill low profile tire sidewalls. It was made days after I ordered near a quarter end, and delivered on the last day of the quarter. They tried to get me to buy a Performance, but I said no because of the tire issue. On the VIN number page is says Long Range, but the VIN number is for a Performance.

I’m VIN series 948xx and my pickup keeps getting delayed due to containment hold.
