As per my previous post about this. I had a VIN and called sales a week after and they said it would arrive to my service center in one week on a Sunday.
VIN 4xxx. It did not arrive, called sales on Tuesday and after there research they said I was issued that VIN by accident. Next day a second VIN appeared 5xxx.
I have been calling sales every few days to see wear it was and each time they said it was in route and they could not tell me anything more.

I drove to my service center and persuaded them to find my truck. He pulled his iPhone and told me in 5 seconds that it was in the Austin parking lot. Thank You. Now how about my first accidental VIN (total BS). Again 5 seconds on his iPhone and he said its here and arrived last week. He said that it was deemed not good enough to delivery to a customer so they are sending it back. He could not give me the details of what was wrong with it. I even went to the back lot and found my first VIN baby, it was sad to see it but at least I avoided some serious problems. My service guys are ultra picky and take 3-5 days to examine and clean a CT.

I have no problem with what really happened but I don't like being lied to about my first VIN and the location of my second VIN.

Glad to hear your service guys are look g out for you like that!

By the whining and complaining by some on this board (you know who you are….??) you’d think that all service guys are trying to eat your children instead of helping…

Wow, bad enough that it couldn't be corrected at the SC and had to go back to Austin?

At least they're looking out for you in Oregon!!

frustrating to be sure, but I bet you dodged a bullet. some delivery center employees are cagey about locations of trucks to be delivered and others tell you straight up what they see on their screen. I'm not sure if it's certain individuals choosing to be lax about policy or ambiguity coming from up above. if yours is on a lot in Austin, it'll be only a couple short weeks before your shiny chariot arrives!

Mine is also sitting at the rail lot in Austin. Original estimated delivery was march 30th, then the 4th, now the 7th… the anticipation is killing me

Cybertruck, not yet produced.

Kinda seems like they had a bunch of trucks produced but the EOQ push made the delivery of MY’s take precedent. Many of the trucks produced last week are in Joe’s photos/video of the Austin lot today.

“My service guys are ultra picky and take 3-5 days to examine and clean a CT.”

When Tesla starts cranking out hundreds of Cybertruck’s per day the SC’s are going to be swamped prepping CT’s for delivery.

Clearly, sending you the first VIN was a “mistake”
Sending a VIN for a car that never should have left the factory was a big mistake.
Thankfully your SC discovered it and corrected it by having a new VIN issued to you fairly quickly.
You definitely dodged a bullet
Congratulations
