Picked it up this afternoon. I definitely wish it had the subwoofer the PAWD has, but for a $20k discount I have no complaints at all. Ride quality and lack of interior cabin noise are phenomenal.
Awesome. Enjoy the truck. Post some pics and let us know what accessories you got so far.

I have the German Shepherd Club Magnet on the tailgate and the Cerberus sticker on the bumper. Once I wash and coat the vehicle, I will add the sticker on the tailgate. ;)
got my stickers today. they look GREAT :)

i will keep staring at them until i get a VIN assigned :)

What are you talking about? Im saying no one was selling their CTs to carvana and they were faking having them for some reason - maybe to drive traffic? I dont have a narrative. I know this because I spent a year obsessively trying to buy one from Carvana. Always exactly 3 in inventory. Never once saw one available, ALWAYS “pending sale”. Look into the family that runs Carvana - wouldnt even register as unethical.
Always exactly 3 in inventory for a year? Currently there are 7 in inventory, 6 have a purchase in progress, one is on hold for 17 more minutes. The VIN numbers are listed, they have CarFax reports on the exact VIN, you can get Experian AutoCheck reports on them, etc.

Without more evidence, I have to assume that people do sell Cybertrucks to Carvana and Carvana does resell them. That is the business they are in. Where would they get the valid VINs to run this dishonest scam and how would that even be worth it.

I suspect the real disconnect here is that you don't like the prices they are pulling (so you assume they are fake). Keep in mind, you can make a lower offer and they have the right to take it or refuse it.

Yeah I'm not on board with some Carvana conspiracy. Some people want Cybertrucks., Carvana promises almost immediate delivery.

What exactly do they get out of lying about sales. I don't see any upside.

Anyone getting really high insurance quotes? Now that I have a delivery date I'm using Tesla app to check insurance options and they want about $300 a month for coverage. More than 3X what I pay for my Model X. Am I being unrealistic expecting a number just under $200 a month?

Just a thought, Tesla is saving a lot of CTs for delivery until next quarter to pad the numbers?
No. That would ruin this quarters profitability numbers in a devastating way (because Tesla has to account for the expense of all the unsold trucks). That's why Tesla consistently works to deliver as many as physically possible in the quarter they were built.

Tesla consistently has (by far) the lowest number of days of inventory on hand compared to every other manufacturer (when measured by how many they are selling per day in that quarter).

Yep, I watched the one that was on hold for 17 more minutes until it expired then it immediately said "Available for purchase". I didn't register so I could lock it up, but I have no reason to believe I couldn't have if I acted quickly enough. The VIN is 7G2CEHED6RA048698.

Why some people think it's a dishonest scam is probably because they believe all the FUD that no one wants these trucks. But this thread is proof that people are chomping at the bit to take delivery of one.

That's impossible for any of us to say. It depends on so many factors including the neighborhood you live in, your demographics and driver history, etc.

At this point, I'd love to know their back end logic Cybertruck scheduling. It's not based solely on order date, RN#, location, or even being a Tesla customer. I can't figure it out.

It's probably someone in the basement like in Office Space drawing RN#'s out of hat.
This will be bad news for many of you but, as the quarter comes to a close the deliveries of new production go to people that are close enough to production that they can close the deal before the quarter runs out at the end of June. People taking delivery at the end of the quarter will see their VIN assigned to someone else if they (the buyer) delays delivery for ANY reason.

Everyone at work had no idea how impressive this truck really is. For the last two days, I’ve done little besides give rides and test drives. The reaction has been the same every time—people are genuinely blown away by it.

Even the die-hard ICE enthusiasts have been impressed by how advanced the Cybertruck is. It sure doesn’t look like a conventional truck, but that’s exactly what makes it special.

The more people see it up close and experience it firsthand, the more they understand what all the excitement is about. The Cybertruck isn’t for everyone—and that’s okay. Tesla built something different, and that’s precisely why it stands out.

I wouldn't do that if I were you. Having nice things Unfortunately invites hatred and jealousy. Ymmv
Fair point, but I’m not too worried about it. It’s a small family-owned company, and many of us have worked together for 20+ years. We’ve celebrated each other’s successes and supported each other through difficult times. They’re more like friends than coworkers at this point, so sharing my excitement over the Cybertruck feels pretty natural.
