Needed Trade-In info “by the end of the day”; what does that indicate?

Hey, yeah that’s always there. Sitting there. Taunting you. Reminding you that you don’t have a VIN
So true …. ?

I did get a response from Tesla, who told me they have no idea when I’ll get a pin, and have no access to that information. Sigh …

Probably have to redo the trade-in stuff in a couple months. Maybe you’re right, CyberTruck2024. Doing It now may indeed have been a waste of time and effort.

And congrats Mike! Happy for you!

I have just been redoing the trade in estimate every 30 days, just did it for the 5th time, never talked to anyone or took any pictures besides a picture of my dash once.

Sadly, that’s expected. I’ve heard a few stories on here of people saying they’re told when they’d get a VIN…seems kinda sketchy. It’ll happen just never ever soon enough.

thank you!!

So you didn’t have to provide them with the set of pictures? Did they not ask you for them?

hmmm that’s weird. I had to do full mugshots of the car. Each side. The inside.

Nobody asks for anything, I just put my mileage, car condition, number of keys, and number of accidents in the app, hit submit, and it gives me an offer in 10 seconds and asks if I accept or reject lol

Hahaha that’s unreal. Never heard of anyone getting it like that.

Strange. Mine was different than that. Told them I had one to trade (in the app while ordering) and they got back to me and asked me for pictures. Once accepted there’s no place to change things. Although I noticed a button that looks like I can later decide to reject it maybe? But in the meantime it updated the price of the car in the order, etc.
