I got 5.24% from USSFCU, 60 months, 0 down (excellent credit). The process was very straight forward. To become a member, you join some organization and USSFCU covers the fee.

The loan officer fedex-ed me the check and I gave it to Tesla on the day of delivery after my inspection.

I submitted my app, and they never asked for my U of M membership number. Just messaged me with "Welcome to UOFI CU!!“ Even got a follow-up call to talk about the loan process.

Approvals from Tesla app happened essentially immediately when I applied that way. I see a lot of people asking about no money down, for a Beast purchase Tesla was requiring $30k(ish) down payment. I think they want 20% + taxes and fees.

We’re planning on putting 50% down on the beast when it shows up and it looks like credit unions are the way to go.

Navy Federal 72 month 130k @ 4.5% when they ran my credit it was a 775.

I am not sure I have a relative that serves in the armed forces. How did you join the CU?

In CA, they overnight the check to your house. They also email a copy to upload to the Tesla app.

YMMV of course. IIRC, some states/locations don’t allow payments at the SC and the check gets sent directly to Tesla.

I went to the website and filled everything out ..it threw an error when I hit submit and said it could not process my apply.

I may try again in a while.
