Try to avoid Teton Pass.

It's a 10% grade and when we took it, it has zero visibility with fog and rain. It will definitly zap your CT juice.

Worst driving I had and I have been everywhere in white knuckle roads.

Enjoy Jackson Hole. I love it specially Grand Teton and Yellowstone.
Not going there the pass I mean. My son-in-law was driving when we went through it a few years ago in a Yukon rental and we was proud as we were going up the pass that the MPG meter went to zero MPG when he floored it. Not EV friendly for sure!
Coming from the east and staying to the east.

It does look like the last Super Charge is a good ways from Jackson!

From what I've read, many campsites don't provide enough power to the pedestal to safely operate the 50 amp AND the 30 amp. I would be afraid of burning up the pedestal if I tried to pull 50 amps for the rig and 30 for the CT. Especially if both A/C units are running while I microwave something. Just my own thoughts, could be way off base.
Remember that the amps pulled is something that we can control. Turn down the charger to the truck so it takes 7 hours to charge instead of 2. Run AC before the charging starts. Use a super efficient AC or just open windows. Use gas instead of Microwave. The pedestal will be fine if you just manage your load.

Valid points. I'll be in that position next weekend. We'll see how it plays out.

This is the Supercharger closest to the factory… with head-in stalls! No trailer disconnect required
And our fervent wish is that there are 2 to 3 pull thru stalls in al supercharging stations.

Plus lounge too and fast-foods similar to Pilot's.

My Cyberbeast now has 208mi with energy consumption at 376Wh/mi. Not bad considered it's running on 285/65R20, 35in AT tires. For comparison, my Rivian R1T QM has 3189mi, using 380Wh/mi but it has 275/55R21 32.9in AS tires. So, I was wrong? my Cyberbeast is actually more efficient than my R1T despite running bigger AT tires?
Sorry, R1T, Cyberbeast gets to park in the garage tonight ?

That's correct, at least right now. I have tried charging and turning on the outlets at the same time and it wouldn't let me. If there's a design reason, I haven't seen it yet.
The charger and the inverter are the same circuits. The potential for this was shown in the Model 3 years ago, it was just missing a couple components at the time.

So while it's software controlled, it'll need to do pass-through, and turn down the charging based upon the draw on the internal outlets, so it doesn't draw over what the EVSE is capable of.

I am really impressed with overall efficiency of the truck. It’s obviously using more than an S, 3, X or Y, but relative to stated range, it’s performing at or above. I have ~1500 miles now and if you take out towing, I’m running sub-400. Mix of highway and city miles. And transparently, not gunning it.

Unrelated, I took my truck in yesterday to have work done (adjust tonneau, adjust one panel) and they gave me a new model X (W/ yoke). The X is amazing, but feels very (very) old. Also, not a fan of the yoke compared to the squircle.

Thanks for the post. I'm on the fence between the CyberLander or the Pebble. Both Pricy but the Pebble is pretty amazing with its own drive train that will extend the ranger. Decisions, decisions..

If you’re limiting yourself to those two options, Pebble is the way to go. CyberLandr seems cool, but the first time you need to use your vault and can’t do it because it’s in the back, well, you’ll be frustrated. Unless your truck is truly becoming your home.

There’s a lot to like with the Pebble. Not a fan of the single axle though. Everytime I tow a single axle after towing with my double axle, I dislike singles even more. My question mark (similar in some ways to the CyberLandr) is whether the premium you’re spending on the Pebble is worth it if you don’t tow on a very regular basis. It feels like depreciation will be very high on the Pebble because the universe of EV drivers who tow isn’t high (at least not yet).

I love my airstream Basecamp. It’s so lightweight and nimble that you can take it to most campgrounds. Though it was wet bath, the grey and black tanks are separate, unlike Bambi, and the tanks can stay heated if you need for cold temperatures. Basecamp is just perfect. Some don’t like the looks, but I don’t care.
Awesome comparison. I like the look of both.
