That's cute. There's a nice little accessory for those who need to put child safety mods on their dwangerous twucks

Maybe put outlet covers on the 12v outlets in the bed too? Don't want to get electrocuted when sticking metal objects in there

You can always just take their scissors away.
Kids know scissors are sharp and can cut. Nobody expects cars to cut.

ps : I mean an adult is posting here how he sliced his wrist and had to go to ER and people here make flippant comments. IMO, bad implementation by Tesla.

Common sense goes pretty far despite the dwindled downed Darwin society we live in. While accidents do happen, they are just that. Kinda like finger test videos in the hood. If you’re dumb enough to lose a digit that way then you deserve it. The call for arms against Tesla for an accidental injury, especially when the extent of the action that caused it is unknown, to me is outright ridiculous.

I used fine sand paper on mine a few weeks ago. I did have some edges that were a bit sharp but with sandpaper by hand it gave it a “softer” edge. Turned out great.

I did have the thought of “wait a minute, I’m taking sand paper to my new rig. This is crazy, and cool at the same time”.

Once I have my Cyberbeast covered in color PPF with their edges wrapped, the sharp edges will be a non issue...Hopefully ? ?

Is it anti-social if I took a file and sharpened all the edges?
I was worried about being the first to hit one of those big deer at speed. Now I find the Cybertruck when properly sharpened auto butchers?

Good idea! Some of the CT can sharper edges than other . It doesn’t seem too noticeable. But if you’re not happy with esthetics the fine file idea is a good option.

If you don’t have your CT then you don’t know the issue properly. The door edges can cut deep. I have thought of some type of edge guard for the doors. I believe there is an “edge” hazard. I have been extra careful around my truck and warn any passengers. If there isn’t a safety pressure cut off for the frunk….i think it will cut off any object in its way. Fingers included. The front panels are 3/16” higher than the frunk in its closed position. Just like a blade waiting for the frunk to close. I will have to test mine today and see if it stops on any pressure resistance. Perhaps a smoked sausage or beef stick can imitate a couple of fingers. I’ll report back on the results

Those burrs ( and that's they are) will cut through any plastic when anything else comes upon it with force.

Tesla is skipping a step in making sure the edges are clean in an exercise of frugality. And it is by design.

Any metal cutting method needs a finishing step in the edges.

It's not okay.

The edges are not sharp. The panels are thicker than U.S. coins. The hard surface to hard surface edge damage is the same with any door closing on fingers and wrapping plastic around it will not prevent it. Don't close doors on fingers.
